Experience!: Tokyo, nature, and Japanese living

Etsu should write the textbook on hosting people. Staying at matcha terrace was truly a special experience. The home is even more beautiful than the pictures. One day I was not feeling well, Etsu did everything she could to make sure I felt better. I am really happy I was at matcha terrace at that time. It is a beautiful Japanese home. It’s very quiet, and you get a lot of privacy and room for yourself. She cooks an AMAZING breakfast every morning. It’s a beautiful way to start your day. She drove me to and from the station. On my last day she stopped to show me the Hydrangeas at a local shrine. As a solo traveler she offered to take pictures of me, without me asking. No detail is too small for Etsu. She has local insights and gives very good recommendations. I plan on coming back to matcha terrace the next time I am in Japan. Seriously a special place and an incredible host. Would highly recommend! Plus a cute dog 😊

We had great pleasure to stay at Risa’s house. Together with her dogs she provided us with highest quality of care. House is located out of noisy part of a city it is a great hub to relax and regenerate after long days outside. Would highly recommend to anyone needing safespace while in Tokyo.

High-speed Wi-Fi and comfortable remote work

This has been one of the most seamless and perfectly managed Airbnbs I have stayed in. Kudos to Takemasa and the team who runs it, I ams o curious to know how you all run this space so efficiently. It's spotlessly clean, very comfortable, all the amenities and comforts that one needs for a comfortable stay. The room is decently sized with everything you need inside so you can live in your space like your home. Everything is automated so you don't need to bother anyone for anything and manage by yourself. Thank you for your hospitality and I will stay here again for sure. About the location - it does take time to get to Tokyo's hotspots but I feel it's really worth it because this neighbourhood is quiet with some fun places around too. And frankly, in Tokyo it does take time to get anywhere so don't judge this place by it's location, you will be just fine :)

Miyoko-san was very welcoming and treated me just as her daughter. I felt just like at home at Miyoko-san's home. The guestroom and the bed were comfy, making the stay incredibly calm and nice. The neighbourhood is quiet and nice. Always enjoyed chatting with Miyoko-san as well!🫶🏼 I will definitely go back again and stay longer.

Hiroyuki's place was so beautiful. I was looking for a place to stay a little far from downtown Tokyo because of the cost, but it was an excellent choice. I was worried that it would take a long time to get to Shibuya, but it took about 20 minutes to get to Shibuya by Toyoko Line! The host is also very kind, and even though he doesn't speak Japanese, he can communicate in English to some extent, and he comes out to meet you when you arrive at the station. Even if you have a lot of luggage, you can easily get to the accommodation. If you walk about 5 minutes from the accommodation, there are a variety of restaurants, convenience stores, cafes, etc. because it's a college town. The accommodation is quiet, and it was comfortable because it was a tatami room. I hate the smell of disinfectant from bedding or towels in hotels, but Hiroyuki's place didn't have that, so it was really nice. I slept comfortably. When I was going back, my bag was heavy, so it was hard, but he took me to the station, so I went back easily. He's really kind, and I definitely want to go to this place again next time.

I needed somewhere to stay during my cycle trip and it was a good location for me. It was comfortable and I could rest for my next day cycling. The food was amazing, there was too much I couldn't eat it all! There is also a very friendly yappy dog.
A private balcony is furnished with a seating arrangement, including a sofa and two chairs, all in a dark woven design. A small table sits in the center, creating a space for relaxation. The view includes nearby buildings under a bright blue sky.

Naomi was a great host from the beginning to the end. We were able to communicate with her at any time and her response was quick. She offered a comfortable, clean dwelling for us to stay and feel safe. When we traveled outside of Setegaya, our belonging were safe at her home. We appreciate her kind demeanor and would make this home a choice to revisit when coming back to Japan. Thanks Naomi for making our stay unforgettable.

Minori was an amazing host willing to help and answer any questions my party asked. For example, she advised us on what mode of transport to take around Tokyo and Osaka. And of course, her dog is adorable! Could not recommend staying here enough!!
