Unbeatable location for peace and stunning scenary. Perfect for a weekend away to just relax. Home was clean and comfortable. We especially loved sitting on the deck and watching the bald eagle family fly above us. Only note is that the trains can be loud so if youre a very light sleeper bring ear plugs. James was very kind when we got lost trying to find the house! Google took us to the wrong street.

This was the perfect place to stay! The home was clean, well-kept, and very aesthetic. It was in a great location - quick drive time to downtown MHK.

3rd time staying here. If you are looking to just decompress and relax, this is definitely the place. Just amazing views from every room as well as all the decks! We cooked most our meals at the house (very well stocked kitchen supplies, spices, etc.) but it is a quick drive down to the valley to get to restaurants if you want. Also, many great places to hike around the area. Daniel is also very responsive if you have any questions. Will be back for a 4th time next year!

We loved our stay at Krystal’s. The house was nice and clean and cute decor. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with great streets to walk our dog. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area! Local grocery store just around the corner.

We only stayed for one night during our cross country road trip. Loved the property and took several walks around the wildflower meadow with our dogs and one of the farm cats. So peaceful and beautiful! House was well stocked with everything we need and more. Bonus was the friendly farm cats ❤️.

We stayed here for one night as a layover on a girls trip. Exactly as described, the sound machine and ear plugs take care of the traffic noise.

Had a lovely stay, would definitely book here again!! We spent the first several minutes after entering just looking around at all the beautiful furniture and style choices. The shower was very soothing and somehow, even though it is a summer in Missouri, the back porch did not have any mosquitos whatsoever. Sadly we didn't end up using the kitchen during our short stay, but it had any necessities that we could have needed.

Great stay! Cute, clean, comfortable house in a private area outside of town looking out over a peach tree field. Super quiet area and we got to watch a great sunset. Plenty of amenities, they even left us some eggs for breakfast! Would definitely stay here again.

Hosts were very responsive and very helpful with recommendations in the area. The house itself is tiny, as should be expected. It’s very cute and in a peaceful and scenic neighborhood. It was a lovely stay!

Beautiful place. Family friendly. Place is joined with owner. She’s very nice and personable. The animals are a huge plus. One night, could hear music til 10pm. Didn’t bother me too much, my kids slept through it. But if you’re solely wanting private space to yourself, may not be your choice. The rec area was absolutely awesome. Kids played on it all day and swan even in the rain. If opportunity arises, I’ll be back ❤️

Rebecca’s place was great! It was in a nice quiet area with a beautiful scene. We felt right at home. I would come back in a heart beat.

One night - good location and nice sized basement in peaceful Black Hills. Basic kitchen worked for us for one night. Overall good stay and fairly priced.

We had a wonderful time at Black Hawk. Everything worked as expected. At times it was so peaceful you could hear a pin drop. Very beautiful.

We stayed for two nights at the Wildhaven yurt with our two springer spaniels and absolutely loved the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. The yurt felt private—nestled near trees and an open prairie—yet was just a short walk to the sauna and showers. As non-campers looking for a comfortable outdoor experience, this was the perfect "glamping" getaway. The yurt had all the right touches: running water in the kitchenette, electricity, a cozy electric heater, and a warm, homey vibe. We especially enjoyed exploring the walking trails on the property in the evenings with our dogs. The hosts were friendly and responsive, and everything about the stay made it easy to unwind and enjoy nature without giving up comfort. We’d absolutely love to come back again!

This was such a peaceful and beautiful cabin! We came to Detroit Lakes to troll hunt, but we found ourselves wishing we had more time to just kayak or enjoy nature at the cabin. The woodwork inside is beautiful. We enjoyed listening to and watching the loons. Morning coffee outside was so nice. The game room and hot tub were fun additions. We want to book another stay!

Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Jenny's place was really cool! It's amazing how spacious they made it, yet super cozy. We could sit for hours watching the clouds and the baby buffalo. It had everything needed for a romantic getaway.

This is a little gem. Quiet, comfortable, clean and beautiful. After a 12 hour drive preceded by 3 days at a family reunion it was exactly what we and our pups needed. Thoughtful touches and amenities with two very comfortable beds packaged inside a beautiful home surrounded by peaceful scenery. Will absolutely boom again!

Relaxing spot to spend a couple of days with the family. Very private and quiet. Great hiking right on the property. We had a blast exploring and seeing some deer in the evening. Bed is not very comfortable.

This loft was a PERFECT gift to us as we traveled from Oklahoma to Colorado. The space is excellently designed, clean, and every thing is just right even down to the books on the shelves. Bonus that a few of our favorite musicians are in the posters on the walls! This renewed downtown area is also turning into a cool, charming area. We’ll definitely stay here again in our travels! Great location! If you go during the week the traffic isn’t bad at all, and it’s great that you can just walk across the street to the lake! We loved jumping in the lake and then sitting in the sauna. Huge kitchen, great amenities, and the Kodonce river hike was a special treat!!

Would HIGHLY recommend for anyone visiting the driftless area. The location and space are great with very well thoughout touches and attention to detail. Simon was incredibly responsive and accomdating. He also gave great recommendations and was super friendly, along with his family. The place itself is very comfortable and peaceful, including a lovely fireplace and nature trails open to guests around the property. Truly a special place.
