“This was our second trip to this little slice of heaven and we are already talking about our next one. If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful and just altogether amazing getaway please don't look any further. You will be entertained by the wildlife, the trails through the woods, the beautiful lake (whether on the dock or on the pontoon), the amazing hot tub under the stars......I mean I could go on and on as to why we highly rate this place and why we don't hesitate to tell our friends about it. Just an amazing experience that we will be repeating every year at the minimum!”
This modern luxury cabin in the woods is tucked away on 13 private acres of secluded riverfront a little over an hour east of the Twin Cities. Styled with mid-century furniture, a modern well equipped kitchen, a bath with a Jacuzzi for one, heated stone floors, as well as wifi, blu-ray, and bluetooth connectivity to the stereo, this 2 bedroom gem has everything an urban dweller (and their kids!) need to relax, create, heal and come back feeling great!
“This spot is amazing!! Went with a group of two couples and it was a fantastic winter retreat. We brought snowshoes to explore, played a lot of games (we brought some but there are also a few standards there), curled up to watch a movie, and spent time cooking in the beautiful (and small) kitchen. Everything in the house was thoughtful and beautiful. Definitely a place we would come back to. One note: The space is small and intimate, you can easily hear each other talk from one room to another. For our group this was really fun, but just so you know, there’s not a lot of privacy.”
The world famous treehouse built in 1971 and sits on 2 acres with cattle creek running under it. Sit by the wood burning stove or look at the stars on the large balcony or hot tub. We do allow pets at a additional $25 per night per pet. Thanks
“The Rocky Mountain Treehouse is even more amazing in person than it is in the awesome pictures posted. Bill was incredibly kind and responsive and check-in was informative and a breeze. The Treehouse has everything you could need - microwave, oven, toaster oven, range, full-size fridge, etc. and there were even some snacks available - popcorn, applesauce, teas, etc. that were a nice added touch. The place is so unique, it's truly spectacular. Pack lightly as you do have some steps and small foot bridges to cross as the posting reads. The babbling creek was wonderful to hear, as were the buzzing hummingbirds that came to visit. A mother turkey just had 10 babies and they wandered down below and were a highlight to our daughters. This is truly a special, special place and if you can get a reservation, go for it!”
