We loved our stay in Wakefield. Lynda's place is so lovely and full of charm and character. Located right on the main street in Wakefield you're steps away from local restaurants, the boardwalk along the river, shops and walking trails. We visit Wakefield often and stayed here while our house was getting some work done. The apartment was clean, cosy and comfortable. Really enjoyable stay.

Randa Catherine's apartment is in a great part of town, within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. Very clear instructions, would recommend for a short stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Beth’s place! The space was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. It felt like a true home away from home. Beth was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful with all the little touches that made the stay even more enjoyable. The location was peaceful and conveniently located. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

A quiet relaxing stay even with the mix of dogs, goats, chickens, rabbit, pigs and ducks. Swimming in the lake was beautiful and hiking at Mont Morissette a must which is not far from Jennifer’s place. Definitely would recommend.

Erin's place was as described. Quiet street with a view of the Grasse river and close to town, everything we were looking for.

Craig's place was great! I was in town for a car racing weekend and it was only 5 minutes away from the track which was perfect after a long day. It had everything we needed and was in a beautiful area right on the lake. Will definitely book again when I am in town for racing next year and recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Calabogie.

This place is incredibly peaceful, with beautiful surroundings. There's a great walking path—about 3 km one way. There’s also a canoe and a kayak available, which is a great bonus. Suzanna and Fred were the perfect hosts. We shared many wonderful conversations, and they were always helpful with anything we needed. Their hospitality truly made our stay special. We would definitely go back happily and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Just don’t forget your bug spray!

A Home Away From Home We stayed here from Thursday evening to Sunday, and have no complaints. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The home is very clean, comfortable and very nicely kept. All things were well thought of and planned for our visit, nothing needed as everything is provided. Every cent paid is worth it! The hosts replies right away and is very familiar with the areas and advises very well. You can tell from the moment you arrive that everything g was well organized and thought of. We’d definitely stay here again without hesitation. Thank you for making our stay very plesant and comfortable.

This was the perfect addition to my wedding weekend! Julie made it extra special with a welcome sign and bottle of champagne to great my guests and I! The place is absolutely stunning, so warm, cozy and just what we needed for a wedding stay with the bridal party. It surpassed my expectations and Julie and her partner were wonderful - we even had a tour and learned some history on the place. Can’t wait to come back !

Absolutely stunning setting and a very clean and well appointed rental. Charming vibe and super cozy set up. Amazing master suite and also very comfortable secondary suite. My family all felt “right at home” and we would definitely consider returning on our next visit to the Ottawa area. Jumped in the Ottawa River on May 18th and can attest to the cleanliness of the water and the nice sandy beach! Exceptional place to relax, refresh and recharge! This cabin was an absolute dream for our mothers' first visit to Canada! We were looking for something special, and this place exceeded all expectations. The location was ideal – a perfect blend of natural beauty and proximity to the city. What truly amazed us was how much more beautiful it was in person compared to the already great photos. The serene lake view, the perfectly stocked kitchen, and the immaculate cleanliness all contributed to an unforgettable stay. You can feel the warmth and care in every detail. The hosts were also fantastic, with quick and kind communication. They even helped us retrieve keys we'd accidentally left behind! We can't wait to return and highly recommend this incredible retreat.

Some places are just houses. Others hold space and pause. From the first moment we walked in, "The River Retreat" welcomed us like a warm hug. My siblings and I came here to honour the one-year anniversary of our mother’s passing, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. Peaceful, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches. Every room, view, and amenity gave us a chance to breathe, reflect, and spend quality family time together. We tried all the amenities, including the hot tub, canoe, kayaks, fire pit, and pool table. But our favourite pass time and location was definitely the home cooked meals around the round table overlooking the river. We left feeling full in every sense. Thank you Marlene and Morgan for being such fantastic hosts! We’ll absolutely be back.
