The villa was so beautiful, very stylish and fulfilled all of our needs for a peaceful getaway in the sun. Yannis and Zoe left lots of local treats for us to try when we arrived and the whole villa was equipped with thoughtful bits and bobs that were very handy to have! They also sent us a long list of local beach/food recommendations that was extremely useful! Etia is a lovely tiny hamlet and feels very special to have the chance to stay in, the surrounding ruins and landscape make the place private and quiet, perfect if you love nature. Thanks for a lovely stay, we'll be sure to visit again!

We really enjoyed our stay, the instructions to access the apartment were easy to follow, the welcome was perfect and the little touches of kindness here and there from Charis and Maria were very much appreciated. The place was healing and relaxing, everything you need to recharge your batteries. The closeness to richti gorge (3min) and Sitia (20min) was a plus.

We had an indescribably beautiful time in the windmill. The view and the garden are stunning. Everything is prepared with so much attention to detail. We lacked nothing. In the village you can eat very well. You're just comfortable. We are happy that we were allowed to be there. If you're looking for something special, highly recommend this place.

We were very pleased. When we arrived, the refrigerator was filled to the top, which was very helpful to us. We were able to eat it for several days. Due to the low season, the taverns were unfortunately closed and we always had to move the car to find one. That wasn't entirely clear to us in advance. The place is ideally located to explore the east and the surrounding cities. On the roof terrace you could easily spend an afternoon in the sun and in the evening there was fantastic light at sunset. We didn't lack anything. Everywhere you go, you'll find little gadgets or board games. Only the small bathroom and the very soft beds on the upper floor were not quite to our liking, but the rest of the place was so nice that you could easily overlook that. We got tips for the area and the landlady was always available. We recommend the place!

We enjoyed it there very much. It is a very generously furnished beautiful apartment. A beautiful terrace with wonderful views of the Bay of Sitia. The hostess was extremely helpful and kind. A stay there is recommended

Natura Cottages is nothing short of magical! Tucked away in the hills behind the seaside village of Makris Gialos, this tiny community of rustic cottages, cut through with worn stone paths and flowering gardens, is as peaceful a haven as anyone could ask for. The cottages themselves are beautifully decorated and thoughtfully laid out to make the most of limited space, with a cozy but in no way cramped feel. Emma and her team are welcoming, communicative, and full of local recommendations. And the best perk of all—at the entrance to the cottages is the trail head for the stunning hike up through Pefki Gorge and on to the village of Pefki, a must for anyone who's physically up to a vigorous walk!

Beautiful place, matches the pictures. The apartment is very clean and the furniture and dishes etc. are as good as new. We were provided with a welcome basket with some Cretan snacks, as well as some honey and wine from Manolis & Despina. The refrigerator was also filled with bread, cold cuts, fruit and water. The property is located a bit off the city center but is relatively quick to reach by car. Only the road to the house is easy to overlook on the first approach and the way up is a bit bumpy. Once at the top, you can't complain about an absolutely fantastic view of the sea and the bay opposite, as well as the tranquility. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Our time at Varvara's house was great and we felt very comfortable there. Starting with the personal greeting by Varvaras mother with local products (olive oil, raki) and homemade jam, cakes, cookies and a delicious tart. The house is just outside on a large property with a great landscaped garden. The house is also equipped with a lot of love for detail. Everything we needed was provided. From the terraces you have a fantastic view of the mountains and the sea. From there, many excursion destinations can be easily reached by car. Communication with Varvara's mother was great and she was always available with advice.
