The Cuckoo's Nest Glamping Huts: Twiggy

This is one of two glamping huts at The Cuckoo’s Nest. Inspired by traditional Celtic roundhouses these cosy wooden huts are situated in the beautiful remote crofting township of Locheynort in the Isle of South Uist. Conveniently located approximately a mile from the main road linking the Isles of Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula and North Uist, the huts offer an idyllic base from which to explore the islands, to pause whist travelling along the Hebridean Way, or to take a relaxing short break.

Welcome to Heatherbell. The pod is a perfect getaway for 2, with everything you could need and is just 5 minutes drive from Lochboisdale ferry terminal. Heatherbell is a fantastic base for exploring our stunning landscapes and wildlife. Enjoy the splendid sunsets from the decking. In late summer it is surrounded by lovely purple heather which grows freely and abundantly spreading its glorious purple hues across our hills and glens. Kentangaval, Bagh Beag License number ES01145F

51 Kentangaval over looks the stunning Bagh Beag (small bay). It is very close to Castlebay, the local shops and the ferry port. It has wheelchair access to the rear of the property and also benefits from a wet room /shower with hand rails in the shower and next to the toilet. It has wonderful views of the hills and the crofts at the rear of the property and is an ideal location for visiting many of the wonderful beaches and sights on the island. Licence no: ES01145F

Caravan On The Croft

2 bedroom caravan with gas central heating. Master bedroom has a Double size bed an en suite and plenty storage. Second bedroom consists of 2 single beds and storage. Main bathroom has a fully closed walk in shower. The Kitchen/living area is open plan with a large fridge freezer, gas cooker, microwave, kettle & toaster. The living area has a 32" smart tv with freeview, electric fire and 2 recliner sofas. The living room opens out on to a patio area via double patio doors.

Croisgeir Self Catering Pod

A self catering pod in a quiet area, five minute walk to the beautiful sandy beach on the west coast of South Uist. Close to the renowned golf course designed by old Tom Morris. Great for local Trout, Salmon & Sea Trout fishing and a great base for those who like hillwalking. Listen to the corncrake call from the outside picnic bench. Bicycles can be stored in the shed. Brand new for 2020, this chalet is a luxury hideaway in the heart of South Uist. The chalet is set in a stunning location, nestled snugly amongst the hills of Locheynort on the shoreline of a breath-takingly beautiful bay. The chalet is ideal for a peaceful, relaxing holiday and is also an excellent spot from which to explore the neighbouring islands, either by car across causeways or by taking ferry journeys to Barra in the south or Harris/Lewis in the north.

Barra's Classic Campervan, 'Olive', offers a unique and unforgetable experience where you get to explore the idyllic Isle of Barra, all at your own pace! Olive is a 1979 VW T2 campervan and is in pristine condition, inside and out! Having recently undergone a slight cosmetic makeover, with new seating, flooring, fridge and table, Olive is just waiting to take you on an adventure! Do not worry, we've made sure to retain as much of her classic charm as possible.

Newly installed in 2021, the Cabin (often called a Storm Pod) is a self-contained luxury haven. Perched beside a small fresh-water loch and overlooking Loch Boisdale. It has a double bed, and a two small bunk type beds. Cooking facilities and a separate shower with WC. Outside there's a fenced courtyard with great Hebridean views for your enjoyment. Although there is sleeping for 4 available, the accommodation is more suited to couples or single occupancy.

Four Winds is a stunning architect-designed house overlooking Loch Bhassapol. It is newly constructed within original stone walls and finished to the very highest standard. It is an excellent base for relaxing in comfort or enjoying watersports at the nearby loch and beaches. As featured in Grand Designs Magazine. Not suitable for children under 12 years old.
