Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Mindanao

the family (and guests) rly enjoyed the stay at Chary’s. my sister celebrated a mini thanksgiving for her college graduation there and there was heaps of space for everyone!! Beautiful and peaceful surroundings as well. Thanks Chary! Would love to stay when I come home later this year ☺️

The property was exactly how it was described and posted in the photos. It's spacious, plenty of space for our family including the backyard, terrace and patio. The kitchen has all we needed. The beds were comfortable, water pressure was great and hot water worked well. The location is cool and we didnt even need AC or fan. It's a plus that they have Starlink for Wifi and a guest profile for their Netflix account. We would love to comeback next time for a family staycation and stay longer than overnight. I highly recommend this property if you're a big group or family.

The host is very responsive from my queries. The place felt right at home. Ate Vicky is friendly and approachable. Their massage chair is what made us booked the place 😆 They provided bath towels and toiletries. Their living room is spacious and enough to accommodate our group of 9pax. We were able to get a good sleep. It’s along h-way and nearby bbq places. We weren’t able to go to hot spring but were told that it is near the area. Thank you for accommodating us! Till our next travel 🫶

The hosts are very friendly and helpful.If you have kids there is a huge yard to play in and a pool.The accommodation is like new and spotless. Has 3 split a/c units,one in each room,you will not be hot.The kitchenette was very useful and has a big fridge/freezer.The Dauin market is only a couple k's away.Handy if you have a scooter ,the hosts can help with that.Diving is nearby.

Fantastic staff at the property, very helpful and friendly and they don't intrude on your privacy. swimming pool is so clean and nice. House is small but it's clean, has everything you need for a long stay, outdoor kitchen too and a great laundry area with modern washing machine. Huge seating area outside. The property isn't close to Sipalay but it's not that far to drive and it didn't bother us. I'd definitely come back.

We had a pleasant holiday in Joan's house. The apartment is very nice, the kitchenette equipped with pots and appliances. The larger bedroom is very spacious, bright and quiet. The view from the balcony is very beautiful, you can see the sea which is not very far away and beautiful tropical vegetation. The swimming pool is not very large but is perfect for spending pleasant and refreshing moments. Joan, our host, is very nice and above all very helpful and attentive to the needs of her guests. We will definitely return to Samal to Joan's house.

The place is a lot better in actual than in the photos! 1 night stay is not enough to enjoy this place, so book more nights! It was a very nice place and very clean. Very comfortable and spacious it can definitely house more than 18 people comfortably. Has a lot of amenities, chairs and tables. The karaoke is superb. Care taker is continuously cleaning the place from time to time. Make sure to have sweatshirt the place can get really cold! Billiard and basketball court is a plus! I think it can cater upto 60 pax 😁 Youd have to bring your own toiletries tho And wifi is not free but very affordable.

Definitely worth more than what we paid for :) The house was spacious and well-furnished; you could comfortably fit a few families in the huge house. Very clean and everything was organised from the bedrooms to the kitchen. Sir Valentine was also very accommodating and kind. He always greeted us whenever we came back to the inn and went out of his way to offer help with whatever we needed; even when it was late at night and we needed ice from the store. Highly recommend this place especially if you plan to travel and go around Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro since its nestled right in between both :)

During our trip to the Philippines, this is the best place to stay! We felt like we were family friends! Even the dogs in this house accept you, as if you were already familiar with them! Chic territory, chic apartment, chic hosts, chic dogs, chic island! I didn't even want to leave and I really want to go back there again! Definitely worth the money! The location is very convenient! This was a rare stay at an Airbnb that felt like a truely personal experience. Fiona and Henny not only nail a of the standard points for hosting, their personal touch goes above and beyond. They’re always happy to socialize in the bar they have downstairs, they even invited me to go along with them when they took a trip to the mountains! I look forward to coming back here!

Great stay! The unit is affordable and well-equipped with a washing machine, induction cooker, and microwave. Loved the beautiful balcony view! The host and co-host were both very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommended! We would love to stay again. Super thank you :)

If you realise what you get for this price - you will be happy like me) If you dont use tabo - look for other place, becouse its have no shower, but have tabo and hygienic shower! it was no water in the morning, but we had tabo)) the matress if perfect, the liens is perfect and clean, the pillows are perfect!

Great place! We enjoyed our stay. We were a bit uncomfortable though that there were no keys to the unit provided right upon arrival but it’s been remedied right away.

We loved staying with Izak, Joy and their family! They picked us up from the bus and we felt heartily welcomed from the first moment. The hut is beautifully located right at the beach and everything was super clean. Kitchen is well equipped and if something specific was missing they would help us out immediately. We were lucky enough to get delicious dinners cooked by Joy and in general, the whole family is absolutely happy to support where ever needed. Over all, great hosts, great place, great experience :)

Great accommodation in the middle of jungle. A very secluded place and has a lot of privacy, far from the nearest community. Owner is very responsive. Make sure that you bought everything before going back to airbnb. Good thing they provided generator when there’s an electric interruption. We’ll surely miss the motorcycle, we named it “Mio” haha Overall experience was comfortable and fun. Will recommend.

Gorgeous! A true escape to the forest to breathe in the nature and grandeur of Bukidon! The place is amazing - simple but well maintained and immersed in nature. There was hot water and a perfect coffee nook for sunrise coffee before we went hiking. Cannot recommend this place enough. Marvin was very hospitable, and the caretakers Larry and Araceli are always around to help and offer advice. When it rains the mud is quite soft so our car got a little stuck trying to park but we just parked in the lower section. A steep uphill to get to the property but shouldn't be a problem for most people. Worth it for the view!! So happy we could stay at Cosy Porch!!

Incredible! My family had an incredible and unforgettable time in this Airbnb. The view was amazing and the overall environment, surrounded by nothing but nature, was just peaceful. We hope to book this place again in the future!

I traveled by motorcycle from Bacolod and I could not confirm my stay in case the boat trip to Dipolog was cancelled. So I I for ed Colleen and she was very understanding of the situation. Upon reaching Lake Sebu, I had difficulty finding the place and Colleen had her staff Roman come to meet me in the corner. The landmark is the pharmacy. I love the Nipa hut/bahay kubo with the wide view of the lake. It’s cool enough at night. Roman her staff even brought me to an eating place which is so near the hut. So convenient. Because if I walked uphill to the main road it would be punishment. So better take a ride. I like it that I had the whole hit to myself. I went to the dreamweavers and to Bundos Fara. He is a national artist and makes brass artifacts. I wished I could have stayed longer. Visit the falls and go fishing. Maybe next time.

One of the Best Airbnb Experiences of My Life Staying in this bamboo hut was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in a peaceful corner of Oslob, the quiet atmosphere was the first thing that embraced us—pure serenity from sunrise to sunset. The infinity pool overlooking the lush landscape was absolutely stunning, and the kids pool made it perfect for families too. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and a connection with nature. The bamboo hut itself was cozy, clean, and radiated that authentic island charm. What truly made it special was how much it had to offer—not just the incredible stay, but its location. Everything we needed was close by—shops, food spots, and local gems—and we were just 20 minutes away from the unforgettable experience of swimming with whale sharks. I can honestly say this was one of the best stays I've ever had on Airbnb.

Place is perfect for barkadas and families. Beautiful view of the sea right in front of the home. Close to Kabutongan Falls which we went to visit right after we checked out. Host is also very responsive and allowed us to stay for an extra few hours. Highly recommended!
