Great house for a family stay in Kusatsu! Felt homey and relaxing. We cooked our meals because the kitchen was very functional. The place was very convenient. It’s walkable to the onsen’s. Got a lot of food choices too, nearby. Host was very accommodating and responsive too! I definitely recommend the place to stay! Kudos!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really liked this place. Set on a small river, this recently renovated house has 2 bedrooms upstairs and the lounge/dining , kitchen, bathroom downstairs. I slept in the lounge/ dining in a futon on the tatami floor - classic Japanese style. You could hear the river flowing outside. Very peaceful. You really need a car and if you are staying here. Though there is a bus stop 20 metres away, however buses stop in the late afternoon (my daughter got caught 3 kms away at 6pm when the buses finished). A very picturesque area, rural, surrounded by mountains. There aren’t any restaurants or supermarkets/convenience stores or even vending machines in easy walking distance. Though the restaurants may have been closed as I was there out of season. If you want a chill place to stay in the mountains (and you have a car) then this is your place.

Private, peaceful, pet friendly lodging with good amenities, including a V60 for coffee. Accessible to Niigata landmarks, like the Dragondola and the Veranda. definitely worth revisiting in ski season!

It was helpful to be in contact with them from the facility information in advance. I'm not a very quick responder myself, but he answered my questions politely. It seems to be close to the ski resort (I don't do winter sports), but there was actually a snow slide at a nearby hotel during Golden Week. The cascading hot springs were also elegant, and they said that in winter you can use them by adding hot water, but during Golden Week the temperature drops below 10 degrees in the evening, so I added hot water and enjoyed it. Basically, we had a barbecue outside every day for dinner, and the barbecue was fun in the open air.The nearest supermarket doesn't have a great selection, so I recommend going after stocking up in advance or getting groceries while sightseeing. It also takes about an hour to get to Niigata (Yuzawa ~ Minami-Uonuma), so it's also a good point that you can enjoy sightseeing in both Gunma and Niigata. One point, the door that was used frequently was difficult to close, so when my child closed it, it didn't close properly, and the cold air sometimes came into the living room, so I think you need to be careful about that.

It was a great experience staying at Brook Cottage Minakami. There are three things that were especially good: * Excellent access to rafting spots!: It was a short distance to the rafting meeting point, and the preparation for the morning was smooth.I think it's the best location for those who want to enjoy the activities. * Pet-friendly inn: I was able to stay with my dog, which was very helpful.Since you can spend time without worrying about the surroundings, we can wholeheartedly recommend it to those with pets. * Relax in a spacious single-family house: Since we rented the whole house, the living room and bedroom were spacious, and the whole family was able to relax and relax.It felt like being at home. The host was friendly and helpful in facilitating a comfortable stay.I think it's a perfect place for those who want to enjoy activities in Minakami Town, if you want to travel with pets, or if you want to relax in a large group.We would like to stay there again.Thank you so much!

Great location, walking distance to the train station and a supermarket and a 7-eleven. The building is newly built, super clean, and private. Highly recommend!

It was all very fun as an experience.I got to the accommodation by car in the snow, and I experienced both, but it was a great memory. Woww. This must be one of our most favorite stays in Japan! The actual place definitely looks even better than in the pictures! The two-floor apartment (a house really) is so spacious and so tastefully decorated. The house has so many glass windows that let in a lot of sunlight, a lot brighter than in the pictures! A perfect place to relax and spend a wonderful evening with friends and family especially after a full day of a skiing trip. We loved the kotatsu and the gas fan heaters. :))) We loved everything about the house really. Sayuri was wonderful host. We greatly appreciated our time at your place. Thank you so much!

The kids were busy with bouldering, table tennis, and a large garage. The view was also good, and it was a luxurious place to enjoy the BBQ slowly. The owner came to explain, and I heard that I had seen it on TV, and when I checked, you went to Japan.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Tani House. The host welcomed us personally and gave us lots of tips for restaurants and things to do in the area. She was always available if we had additional questions or requests. As for the house, although it is an old traditional house, the beautiful renovation makes it so it is very comfortable and offers any facility you may need. It was a joy to spend time in the house and its design. A plus was the river that was perfect for swimming and only a 3 minute walk. It is perfect for exploring both the Yuzawa and the Tokamachi area. Highly recommend staying here.

They communicated very politely from the booking stage to the stay. We also changed the arrival time suddenly on the day of arrival, but you were very accommodating. They were always concerned about the temperature of the bath, and prepared in the morning.The open-air bath was also very pleasant. Easy check in, amenities as described. The views were stunning and beautiful. The host was very friendly and helpful, and spoke English to help check in. I would recommend this place to get away from the crowds and enjoy the nature and views.
