Nestled in a vintage, post WWII property with solid brick walls and oodles of character, the Cottage is ideal for one or two people. Whether over-nighting, or staying longer, guests are welcome to unplug (although there is good wifi), light the fireplace and candles, play card games, build a puzzle, read a book or head out and enjoy the sights and beauty on offer in the Midlands.

The comfy lounge with a fireplace, and luxury beds with crisp cotton linen, will ensure cozy evenings followed by a good sleep. The large patio and outside dining area enjoy spacious farmland views, and bask in the afternoon sun.

Set in rural countryside, but only ten minutes drive from Hilton and Howick and five minutes from the N2, The Little Loft Cottage at Little Fields is the perfect place to call home-base while exploring the Midlands Meander or to relax with family. A 65 square meter, recently built converted barn style with exposed beams and high ceilings, the cottage has been beautifully decorated with modern farmhouse touches, a wood-burning fireplace, a big bath tub and an outdoor enclosed garden shower.

Our Forest Falls Treehouse is built at the confluence of two streams. Perched amongst trees, birds are constant visitors while shy nyala often make an appearance. This self-catering cottage can be reached after a short walk in an indigenous forest down stairs built into a cliff face. Meals can be purchased through prior arrangements.

In the HEART of the KWAZULU NATAL MIDLANDS MEANDER. - A “Far Away Place” is a gay-owned two bedroom cottage with views to a beautiful dam, trout fishing, a huge Pine forest & the mountains of the Karkloof. We are 5km on the old Curry's Post Road from Terbodore Coffee & a short 12km drive into Nottingham Road. We are social people, who love our dogs, all 6 of them. (Smooches, Chino, Toffee, Peanut & Jelly Bean & Lady) If dogs are not for you, then our cottage is not recommended.

The Hayloft is a self catering cottage set in the spectacular village of central Hilton. It is located close to upmarket schools, restaurants,shopping centres, hospitals, many major sporting events and The Midlands Meander. Just 10 minutes drive to Pietermaritzburg and an hour and a half to King Shaka Airport. We also have the Crofters Loft, The Shepherds Loft and The Farriers. We are on a solar system so load shedding does not affect us.

Only 2kms off the N3, we are easily accessible and very easy to find. We are a working farm, so there will be ‘farm noise’ about and general day-to-day goings on! Cottage has braai facilities, WiFi and DSTV.

We have lived on the 50 acre farm for over 30 years, during which time we amassed vast collections of every description. The house proved to be a perfect space to display them for you enjoyment.

The cottage is situated in The Dargle Valley bordering a forestry estate and overlooks the uMngeni River. It is nestled in the trees next to the main house on Woodsong Farm, which is a small life-style farm where you are free to explore the surroundings. Enjoy walks to the small dam with a picnic basket and bird-watch, take photos, enjoy some casual fishing and wild-swimming.
