Vacation home rentals in Metropolitan City of Messina

We were two Canadian couples staying for 5 nights (after visiting Milano/Genova), with a car that we rented at Catania airport. We arrivred at 9PM but our host Nando was communicating us and received us in person. Upon arrival, fridge had some complimentary sandwiches, juice drinks and snacks, and a delicious homemade cake. Lovely place, peaceful, spacious, additional to detail, comes as advertised. Beautiful 180 degree view, when sitting outside by the pool, and even from main salon/kitchen. Loved the bedrooms and in particular the high quality mattresses and sheets. Made good use of the washing machine as we had a lot of laundry from our first week in Italy. Nando was very thoughful and proactive in checking in on us and suggesting places to visit and eat at. Good location, about a 10-15 minute drive to Taormina parking and a short drive to get on highway to visit Mount Etna or Syracuse/Ortigia. We had a wonderful stay in Sicily, thank you Nando!

We had a pleasant stay at the host's. She was a good advisor and was very friendly despite our low level of Italian. She kindly offered to take us to the station and brought us eggs! Thank you!

We stayed as a family with 3 children (under 6 years) in this great, clean accommodation. The location is fantastic. Through the garden gate, you are directly on the (gravel) beach with clear water and absolute tranquility, because the next bathers were always at least 15 m away. The apartment offers everything you need and Monica and her husband were great hosts who always inquired about our well-being and gave us great acquaintances. The garden was great for grilling and equipped for the children with a trampoline and slide. One day they turned on the sprinkler system, so we had a lot of fun with the kids. We took many excursions from there, the highway is easily accessible. A very warm thank you to Monica and her husband, we are already planning our next stay.

My husband and I booked this beautiful Airbnb at the last minute, and we felt extremely lucky! The house is a recently renovated local property, and exudes charm and authenticity. Carmen was very friendly and communicative, and welcomed us very well. It's rare nowadays to see a host who welcomes you in person and gives you all the tips about the place. Letojanni itself is a charming little town, with great beaches and restaurants. Airbnb's proximity to Taormina and Forza D'agro allowed us to do all the tours possible. Anyway, we made a great choice and highly recommend this Airbnb!

We loved the location. About a 1/2 mile to restaurants and grocery. walking through neighborhoods. Apartment was right next to a small beach where locals go.

We spent a short vacation with our children and thanks to Francesca and her advice we had a great time. The house is really very nice and easily accessible. One thing we appreciated was that it also had private parking. Thanks for everything to Francesca☺️

This is a lovely airbnb to stay in during your visit to Taormina. Marina’s place was clean and comfortable for 2 people over a 3 night trip. She had everything you needed there to make you feel at home—highly recommend this listing.

Itala is a beautiful little town in the hills, gorgeous views, centrally located to visit other areas easily, and Simona was very responsive in communication. The apartment was right off the village square where everyone gathered summer nights. It was a great stay!

We left Giovanni's house, which in the meantime had become our home in Lipari, with a lot of melancholy but also the certainty that we will return. The house is new, equipped with everything you need, with large spaces furnished in a functional way and with great taste. Never hot, never used air conditioning, although it was available. Spacious, bright room, same as the kitchen/living room. But the best part is the magical large terrace where you can experience all the most beautiful moments, from sunrise to sunset. Salina, Filicudi, and Alicudi are there in front of you, surrounded by the magic of the light. Always an enchanting view, but it gives its best in the magic that is renewed differently at every sunset... The owner welcomed us at the port and throughout the period spent there, he was always a kind, present friend, more than willing to satisfy any request or anticipate it. We can only say thank you for these happy days

Stunning views everyday, in house everything was clean, we were hosted with something to eat for breakfast because we got late. Klaudia as a host is kind and responds within 10 minutes no matter what time it is. She is always there to answer any question and ready to give you the best advice of where to go and what to do. The neighborhood is quiet and filled with local people. Letojanni itself feels really safe and children friendly. Highly recommend 10/10. Already thinking about coming back!

Angela's accommodation is simply fantastic. From the terrace, you can see a crazy panorama, with the sun setting between Salina and Filicudi with incredible colors. The house is in a very quiet area of Lipari, in Quattropani, to be reached by renting a scooter or a car. Angela was very kind: she came to welcome us at the port of Lipari, accompanied us to the house and offered to take us back to the port at the end of our stay. She was very kind and always available and her accommodation is impeccable and perfect. It also allowed us to get a discount on the scooter rental, as we had an "agreement" with a rental shop. A place to recharge your batteries, enjoy the wonderful Aeolian Islands away from the tourist flows and enjoy the peace that few places have. Not only do I recommend it, but I will consider it if I return to Lipari. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The stay was wonderful. The place is surrounded by greenery and is very quiet, not to mention the breathtaking view! The archaeological area and the sanctuary can be easily reached on foot in a few minutes. A few kilometers away by car, you can reach beautiful beaches. Emanuela was really kind and helpful, she gave me a lot of advice on what to do in the area. Surely the property will be my point of reference for when I return to Tindari!

Donatellas place was lovely and big with stunning views out to the port and ocean from the multiple terraces. It was truly amazing. My mother in law (who was travelling with us) was born in nearby Valchiesa and we were back to visit relations. We visited the house where she was born and lots of relations who fed us very well. Some of us hiked to the top of nearby Monte del Fossa Felci which is the higher of the two volcanic peaks on Salina. An elevation of 960 metres above sea level from where the views were gobsmacking. The house was great and well featured and fitted the 6 of us very nicely. Unfortunately we had to leave two days early due to a storm and bad weather coming in which meant that the ferries to and from the islands would not be running for about 5 days. We would love to return again in summertime. We would highly recommend this property and hosts. :-) Chris, Karen and family

Cristina is a fabulous host that met us at the apartment at check in. The apartment had everything we required for a great stay, and if we did need something (knife, chopping board) Cristina purchased and delivered it promptly. We cooked most evenings and there are great shops selling all we needed to do so within walking distance. A beautiful beach is a stones throw from the apartment. There is a bus stop across the road to take you to Taormina and the train station, but forget the timetable, these buses run a rather erratic timetable all of their own. The apartment was spotless and roomy enough for a family of three. Would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing week at Villa Margherita. We were 10 people from 2 years to 68 years and had a great time together in the beautiful house, patio and by the pool. We had all meals outside at the beautiful patio with the possibility of barbecuing. We also used the charcoal grill in the garden and made delicious meat and fish dishes. The swimming pool and the surrounding area were fantastic and we used it every day. The garden and the views are amazing and gave a special peace. Natale, who lived in the apartment above the villa, was very nice and he cleaned the pool and helped us if we had any questions. Margherita was also very helpful with questions before the trip and she recommended a very nice cook (Giovanni) who had cooking classes for us. Fantastic experience! The villa is beautifully located, a little withdrawn from Santa Teresa Di Riva. It is an advantage to have a car as it is a bit of a walk down to the city. I would recommend visiting Savoca and Taormina. I highly recommend Villa Margherita and a big thank you to Natale

Functional and cool house, great location. So much tranquility and excellent hospitality of the host. I plan to repeat the stay maybe extending a little to transform the vacation into what was once called the vacation.

great accommodation, impeccable cleanliness and amenities. It was a real shame to leave, the pool is beautiful and the sea practically in front of the structure was very comfortable, we reached it by car for a matter of convenience but you can easily walk. We had a problem with the ants who invaded the kitchen counter at night, but the host immediately provided us with the right traps. It's normal, given the country context, that there may be these issues, but the host was very responsive. I recommend the structure

A characterful apartment that’s close to the main shopping/nighttime area of the town. It was a perfect home for our family for three nights and then hosts were very helpful and responsive. It’s a slight climb up some steps with the luggage not too far from the nearest parking.

Antonio's house is not just a big house, it's a really big house. Large spaces, with a huge living room, a comfortable kitchen and three bedrooms upstairs, a panoramic terrace where you could organize square parties, two bathrooms, one as large as a mini-apartment with a hot tub, as well as a bathroom in the laundry room, and as if that were not enough, also the private garage. Full kitchen equipment, as well as for the bedrooms and bathrooms. I must admit that I was a bit worried before seeing the house, as I had also read some not-so-positive reviews, but my concern vanished immediately after seeing it. Antonio was a discreet but very helpful host, generous with advice and suggestions and above all with uncommon precision. In practice, it is one of the best AirBnB experiences I have ever had in Italy, the only concern is that I was there for only one night...
