Monthly Rentals in Meleses

What a beautiful place! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this paradise. It was peaceful and quiet, yet still close to lots of things to do. It was one of our favourite airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in! Our kids loved the animals (especially Mia the kitten) and were very sad to say goodbye. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. Vagelis also provided us with fresh eggs, goat milk, cookies and rakia! We hope to return again one day!

What can I say... Xrisa was a fabulous host, and her stone house was beyond charming. This was Cretan village living at its finest. Depending on what your travel plans are, I would recommend a car. There are buses into Heraklion daily, but the distance into town and infrequency of the buses could be an issue. Xrisa was extremely communicative, gave us recommendations about places to eat (yes, even a marvelous little restaurant in the village), and left a watermelon in the refrigerator to welcome us. When we come back to Crete, we would consider ourselves beyond lucky if her place was available again.

We had a pleasant stay in Heike's surprising roof house. Heike herself is a very nice and helpful host. The location in the village is great and Archanes is a great base for various trips.

What a special place! We loved this place. It was so cozy with nice, hot water, and comfy beds. The best part were the special touches .. a cup of washing machine liquid for washing a load of clothes, coffee and filters, bottled water, an iron, fans for each room and an extra blanket, small bottles of shampoo. Everything we needed was there. The restaurants were so good, and it was a joy to explore the area. Thank you, Eva!
