Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Melbourne City

I stayed in this charming one-bedroom Fitzroy house while visiting my daughter and found it a lovely, well-located base. The bright downstairs area had a large back window and a small patio — perfect for nice weather. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked, even with milk for tea, and all linens and essentials were provided. The airy loft bedroom was comfortable and mostly quiet. The host was excellent — quick to respond and helpful with local tips. One caveat: there was active construction on both sides of the house. While not constant, some days included noise from heavy equipment and hammering, which might matter if you’re home during the day. Otherwise, a great stay just two blocks from the tram and easy walking distance to everything Fitzroy offers.

Lovely air bnb. Justin was great with communicating and letting us extend our check out time by a couple of hours. Location was good but loud when going to sleep on weekends people walking past. Construction was happening next door which we weren’t made aware of so was loud! Workers throwing bricks and tools around.

Great spot, pretty quiet. Easy access to Melbourne CBD and surrounds. Bed was comfy. Would be happy to stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was beautiful, very peaceful and quiet while also being close to transport and shops/restaurants. We really enjoyed the fireplace and spa tub. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Naomi was a great host and communicator.

Briody’s apartment is as described and in a very convenient position right on Southbank. Briody was easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again. Place is clean and tidy and the building is well managed.

This was a great place to stay, the view out over Albert park was gorgeous and you could see it from the bedroom. We found heaps of great restaurants close by, walking distance if you felt like it. Tamara was very helpful and responsive, even for late messages, would highly recommend.

Lovely apartment . Very secure. Very easy access to and from train station. Close to many good restaurants and bars Small in size which is accurately described. We appreciated the flexible check in and detailed instructions. We hope to stay again in the future

We stayed at Cathie and Michael’s for three nights. The apartment is situated close to cafes, restaurants and shops, with a tram stop not too far away. The apartment was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Even though we went in winter, we still made use of the spacious verandah. It’s one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in, we would definitely stay again.

Superb location , right across interchange and mall. Lots of eateries and supermarket right below the condo. Check in instructions was clear. Major landmark of Melbourne all within walking distance. Very comfortable bed and sofa, and the warmer kept the house really warm and comfortable!

Andrew was the perfect host - he was super helpful, responsive and offered to stay up late in case I had issues getting in, given my late arrival time. Communication was great and very open to helping where possible. The apartment itself was lovely and views were fantastic being on the top floor. You could still hear a lot of the traffic and trams however so perhaps bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper but otherwise not a big deal, just one of the things about being in an urban area. I was there for work so was a very quick stay but it was a close walk for where I needed to be which was great, thanks for having me Andrew and being a fantastic host!

The apartment is well situated with a tram stop into the city just across the road. Very close to the arts precinct and parks. There are a couple of great coffee shops within 5 minutes so easy for breakfast. Woolworths and BWS are a 5 minute walk away and there is a fantastic wine shop downstairs as well. A 10 minute walk takes you to all the restaurants on Southbank. The apartment is spacious and well set out with everything you need for your stay, with great view from the balcony. Definitely recommend the apartment for a stay and would stay again next time we visited from Perth. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable.

We felt very cosy in this apartment due to the great couch, comfortable bed, terrific heater in the bedroom and nice decor as well as really clean throughout. The kitchen is well appointed and the bathroom has good shelf space and a really hot and good pressure shower.

We had such a nice stay at Ros and Andrew’s place. The apartment is great, very well equipped and quiet. The location is perfect, very close to the beach and only a few minutes walk from cafes and restaurants. Ros and Andrew are excellent hosts. My wife and I had great 5 day stay. Amanda was a great host and clear with her instructions. The unit is in a fantastic position, ultra quiet and close to all you need to do in Melbourne without the hustle and bustle of staying in the CBD. We had an excellent stay at Vik’s apartment, everything was as described or better. It is centrally located with good amenities that have been kindly provided by Vik, the swimming pool and gym are very handy and Vik is a great communicator and ensured we had everything that we needed. One negative was the blonde lady on reception, for whatever reason she seemed to go out of her way to be rude to us, it felt as though she treated us with disdain specifically because we were Airbnb customers, whenever I needed to speak with her or ask for information she went out of her way to make it difficult. I obviously wouldn’t mark vik’s score down for this because it has nothing to do with him and is out of his control. We loved our stay! Thanks Vik
