Luxury Home Near Marfa and McDonald Observatory

KerryRating, 5 stars2 months ago
David’s space was so bright and welcoming. Generously sized bedrooms and common rooms, tastefully decorated with a nod to the region, all of the amenities, with small personal touches like homemade granola and fresh milk in fridge when we arrived. David was excellent at communicating. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

Chic Tiny Home Close to Everything @ Casa Paloma

JenniferRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Casa Paloma is a super cute tiny house in an equally cute tiny community on some property. We were a family of two adults, one kid, and a dog and were a little pressed for lounging space but that's not really the point of this kind of rental. For our purposes of having a landing spot in West Texas to explore the surrounding area, it was comfortable and nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable though the couch could use a little more cushion. I would recommend optional blackout curtains as well. Kimberly was very friendly and communicative with us during our stay and we had no major issues overall. I would recommend this (or any of Kimberly's properties) if you're looking for a place to stay in West Texas. Alpine is probably the best place to stay in the general area but make sure to visit Fort Davis as well! Just make sure to check hours of any places you're interested in ahead of time. PS - Beware of the local giant ants and sticker burrs known as "goat heads"!

Downtown Rock House

Provided exactly what we wanted for a family of 4... a clean, comfortable place to explore the area. Centrally located to Balmorhea, Davis Mt State Park, and McDonald observatory. We can highly recommend the "star party" at the observatory on select evenings, check their webpage. We found everything we needed to make breakfasts there. was nice to see deer wandering through the yard in the morning. Overall, it made a great trip for us.
