Vacation rentals in Maza

Missing my morning swim with a view of Mount Ida and the sounds of the goat bells and cicada's. My husband and I went with 3 teenagers, all had our own space with the beautiful courtyard at the heart of the villa for us to get together and eat and drink and play cards. The pool is perfect, garden is beautiful with your very own grapevine and pomegranate and lemon trees. Plenty of places to sit in the shade and lots of sunbeds to sit around the pool. Great outdoor kitchen with pizza oven and BBQ. You need a car to get around. There is a taverna which is walkable, the village of Vryses is a 5 minute drive down the hill. The village has everything you need with great eating places and cafes. There are 3 supermarkets all open late til 1030. Visited Melondoni Caves, Aptera, Knossos Palace & Museum, Rethymno & Chania Venetian Harbour. Lots of lovely beaches, fave with teens was Lake Kournas for paddle boarding and to see the turtles. Fantastic house with well-maintained garden, pool and barbecue area. Neighboring villa unoccupied, therefore very quiet. Panorama priceless! Maria is a sweetheart! Super communication, very sweet and helpful, very good English. Steep approach by rental car is easily manageable and easy to find thanks to Maria's prior navigation information. In a few minutes, pretty villages in the area can be reached for shopping, eating out and the beach. Pool super, clean and illuminated! House wonderful, everything there, sparkling clean and very stylish. TV is not a smart TV, remember to bring your own laptop. Thanks for the nice gifts, Maria! We would always come back, it was a perfect week!

We had a wonderful stay at Manolis's place with two adults and two children. Communication was very friendly and accommodating from the start. Manolis personally greeted us and showed us the house. He had provided us with fruit, drinks, and supplies, as well as other treats, and spared no effort and considered our dietary habits. Thank you! The house is equipped with everything you might might need. Highlight for the children was the pool (for us adults it was too cold due to the season and the clouds). We particularly enjoyed the fantastic view from the bed in the morning. In the village it is very quiet and yet you can reach many excursion destinations in a short time. Manolis is a superb host!

Without doubt THE BEST place we've ever been on holiday ❤️. The location is just perfect if you're looking for an 'off grid' place. The mountain views are outstanding and only interrupted by the sound of the mountain goats bells which are wonderfully melodic!. The hosts were wonderful providing us with a homemade Moussaka for our arrival 👌delivering fresh eggs from their hens later in the week. Google Maps brings you right to the villa and a small hire car can make it just take your time on the windy bits! If you're a cat lover you're in for a treat as there are a few beautiful young cats to feed (food provided by owners). Pool fabulous accommodation perfect. We are already booking for next year! 💯 the perfect place to wind down and recharge away from everything we couldn't recommend enough! ps Nikolaos was super helpful when we needed support on getting a flat tyre replaced 👌

Excellent villa in a beautiful location. Met at the villa by the host to run through the property, when the cleaners were coming and also the pool guy, then left to our own devices. Host made themselves available over text 247, which we reached out a couple of times and they responded quickly. The property is lovely and modern. The bedrooms are a great size with fantastic showers. Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Outside, the pool is perfect to cool down in and do a few laps. The sun beds, two dinning areas and other spaces give great views across the valley with the sun all day and some shade areas, and excellent sunsets over the hills. The property is only 5 minutes off the main road (which you cannot hear) making it a great base to explore from. Beach only 10 minutes away. Treat yourself, book this.

Exceptional stay, the villa is in impeccable condition and impeccably clean. Hosts are available, responsive and very attentive. The location of the villa is conveniently located close to a village with all amenities. Beaches are a few minutes away by car away. The pool is beautiful and very well maintained. We will gladly and without hesitation come back to Xristos and Yianna.

We had a great stay at the house. Great location with all the amenities you need. The terraces have a nice view over the valley, the house has alot of space inside and airconditioning in every room. The owners are also very friendly and nice. Would recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay here in Crete. The pictures don't do it justice, the little extra touches made it feel so homely and welcoming and Lykourgos was the perfect host. The best Airbnb we've stayed in and would definitely stay again!
