Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Mayfield Lake

My family was looking for a place to stay close to Mt. Rainier that would be free from pets, as my daughter is unfortunately highly allergic. It is hard to find, but this cozy cottage stood out. Its beautiful aesthetic drew us in, along with the hot tub. We had just come back from an Alaska cruise so we want to find a remote place to wind down for a few days and explore Mt. Rainier & Mt. St Helen. This was the perfect spot! We had a little issue with the thermostat where the heater would come on making it stuffy. We reached out to Branden and he quickly responded offering us a solution to turn the AC unit on and open the doors to make the upstairs cooler. It worked and we were comfortable the rest of the stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and stopped to get firewood for the fire pit for s’mores. One of the best parts were the deer that roamed around the property. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a home away from home. It was the best way to end our trip.

Our family of 3 stayed at Nicole's place for 4 nights over Memorial Day weekend. We used the location for daytrips East to Mt Rainier and West to the Great Wolf waterpark. The house is easy to find and located in a quiet private neighborhood North of Mayfield Lake. We found it very clean and well-equipped (from the keyless entry system to the kitchen, extra bath towels, to pillows and games). The bunk bed was a hit with our daughter, and we appreciated the comfortable (firm) mattress in the master bedroom (that bed is fairly tall). Note that the beds occupy most of the space in each room. Nicole shared a lot of tips, both via a binder in the house and live on the app. The instructions in the binder are helpful especially trying to find our way to the private pier at the lake (10-min walk from the house). The close, small town of Mossyrock has several restaurants and grocery stores.

Our stay at The Charming Retreat was unforgettable! From the stunning views to the cozy, well-appointed accommodations, everything exceeded our expectations. The backyard patio was the perfect spot to relax, and the beds were so comfortable we slept like logs. Brenda and Rich’s hospitality truly set this experience apart. After an accident outside Morton on our drive into Mossyrock, they went above and beyond to help us. The next day, they kindly offered us a ride to Olympia to pick up our rental car, making a stressful situation much easier. Their local recommendations also led us to some fantastic eateries. If you’re considering booking, do it! This property is a slice of paradise, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you, Brenda, for making our trip so special!

We will absolutely be back if they’ll have us! This stay was peaceful during what is seemingly a busy holiday weekend everywhere else. We enjoyed listening to all the birds chirping while eating breakfast on the patio in the mornings. The best was so comfortable that I had some of the best sleep I’ve had in a year. I even messaged the host to ask if they could tell me the brand haha. The kitchen appliances were very handy. Everything was very clean and tidy. Walking the farm was quiet and beautiful. We really enjoyed driving down to the lake and spending the day there. It was within 20 mins of a lot of beautiful sights. It felt like we were so much further from home than we were. Bob was super responsive and kind in messaging. He was quick and thorough. We also met a gentleman on the farm who was extremely friendly, but I didn’t catch his name. This was a 10/10 visit for us! Thank you Bob!

I can't say enough good things about Meri and this little home. The house is exactly as described and perfect for a private, peaceful stay, and pet friendly! Everything you could possibly need is there. It was truly our home while we waited for housing on post. and Meri.. there's not enough nice things to say about her either. Always responsive, always friendly and so caring towards her guests. This place is above and beyond any expectation I had about staying somewhere that wasn't mine for over 2 months!

Very comfortable stay, nice hot tub, nice outdoor seating. We would definitely come back for future trips to mount rainer. Cindy was extremely responsive with any questions we had.

Great location if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet time. less than a block away from a gorgeous park for running/walking. Beautiful neighborhood. Place was very clean and tidy. Everything we needed was there. The high celling gives the feeling of a much bigger place. Super comfortable large studio. Jon was a fantastic host, flexible and very responsive. He was on site, so he popped in to help me operate the fireplace. Very friendly and accommodating. My wife and I loved the place.

This place was very clean and is in a tranquil environment. The location is very peaceful and the views from the windows and patio are absolutely stunning. My partner and I stayed for the weekend for a wedding that happened to be walking distance down the road - we decided to come a couple of days early so we could explore Portland and the coast, it did not disappoint! If you’re looking to stay in the area, we definitely recommend Chad’s place 👍🏻

Wow. What a magical sanctuary. My husband and I booked the smaller room for a last minute getaway and were blown away. Katherine was so kind and personable and clearly very proud of the gorgeous home and lush vegetable gardens they've grown. There was something so special about petting the kitties and picking blueberries and marrionberries off the vine and right into my breakfast in the morning. The accommodations were just right for us, the sauna was exceptional, the location in Mossyrock and near Rainier was great, and the sunset view and the shooting stars at night were just something else. We would love to come back here. Thank you for a wonderful, albeit short, stay!!

Great place to relax after hikes. The communication was spot on and besides a busier street out front the noise of the fan was perfect at night time.

The perfect little cabin just a few miles from Mount Rainier National Park. Will highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area. The creek behind the cabin really adds to the experience. Loved every minute!

We had a great weekend getaway. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and immaculately maintained. It was very comfortable and we had everything we could possibly need. Brenda is an excellent host and a great communicator. 10/10! I would absolutely visit again.

I recently had a fantastic stay at an Airbnb near Mount Rainier National Park, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! The location was perfect, making it incredibly easy to access the breathtaking beauty of the park. The house itself was absolutely wonderful, equipped with all the amenities you could ask for. The Wi-Fi was reliable and fast, which was a huge +. The cleanliness of the place truly stood out; it was immaculate and exactly as described in the listing. Everything was well organized, and you could tell that a lot of effort went into preparing the space for guests. Most importantly, I want to highlight how amazing our host, Crystal, was. Our communication was prompt and friendly, and it was evident how much she genuinely cares about her guests' experiences. She went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was enjoyable. Great little cabin, exactly as advertised and convenient to Mt Rainier. Quiet little neighborhood, just a few minutes from the bustling downtown of Ashford :). We've stayed in quite a few AirBnB's over the years, so we genuinely appreciate all the little things that make being a guest so easy. The owners have obviously thought this through, providing so many of the essentials that are necessary for a short stay, such as a handful of laundry pods, k-cups and creamers. The outdoor hot tub was perfect too!

My mom and I had a very relaxing time at this cabin. We loved it from the moment we came in! It’s cozy, clean and I love the overall location, as it’s very close to mountain Rainier, and not far from a town where you can buy groceries, etc.. The jacuzzi was a big plus. The Host has rules that we all as guests should follow to have a more pleasant experience, please follow those rules…. The toilet was a unique experience but it works… Overall we enjoyed this beautiful place..

We absolutely loved our stay at Nisqually Nest! We had everything we needed and then some! We especially loved the sauna and hot tub after hiking Mt Rainier. Kent and Kari were such friendly and responsive hosts and even arranged some hot tub entertainment for us with a mama robin feeding her babies. Above and beyond ... haha! We are already planning a trip back and hope to get to stay here again.

Beautiful home in the lab of Mt Rainier. House was as described, beautiful, and clean inside and out. Very responsive host, helped us with any of our questions. Location was perfect, 6 mins to the entrace gate, nice couple of restaurants and grocery stores around. Very peaceful. Enjoyed the Hot Tub after the skyline trail at home. It was just perfect
