Welcome to Stoney Lonesome Retreat. Why Stoney Lonesome? Not entirely sure, you can blame it on my great grandfather, old Fredrick Richard August Christian Uhde. He named the property back in 1972 and the name has stuck!!! My parents Elward and Susan purchased our property in the summer of 1969 for $500 and we have been here ever since. My brother and I were raised here and now my wife Gretchen and I are so proud to be raising our son Simon here. The third generation on this land.

This cozy 576 sq ft cabin is perfect for your next Montana getaway! A bathroom with shower, soap, kitchen, and porch with mountain views through the trees, you'll have no problem just enjoying some alone time! Enjoy hammocks among the trees or sit on the porch and enjoy trees. The water heater is small, 5 gallons so showers need to be short. Sorry, that is the only size we could get in there. There is no oven, but there is a 2 burner, nice hot plate and an air fryer.

This was the BEST getaway weekend and Minta and Joe are the best hosts you could hope for with a pristinely clean cabin and wonderful views! The bed was super comfortable!! Great restaurants and you’re in the middle of two major cities with lots to do!

The tent was very nice as were the views. Being so close to the highway and road noise didn’t equate to peaceful and quiet rest over night but the views were pretty. It was very hot when we got to the location and it was hot in the tent but we couldn’t open the windows to let air flow due to the dust from the nearby gravel road. Other than that it was a good weekend.

Chelsea is one of the most responsive hosts I have encountered on Airbnb. She was very quick to respond to texts and messages on the app. The place is beautiful! The dock was awesome and the canoe and john boat were a hit with the kids and adults. If you are looking for a peaceful lake house with private dock access, this a great choice!

My family and I stayed here for a two-day ice fishing tournament and having a dryer was a life saver!!! My kids loved the loft bed and had a blast staying here. Super cute place, perfect for a small family.

The best part was waking up to deer in front of the cabin. I was able to earn their trust and feed them by hand. The cabin was clean and the bed was comfortable. Tammy was very responsive.

Dawn was an absolutely fantastic host and the accommodations were exactly what I expected. I was traveling as a single and felt super safe while there. The location is exceptional for ease in getting to downtown Kalispell, north to Whitefish area, south to Flathead Lake area and Glacier is an easy drive too. Thanks for everything Dawn, I can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I had such a lovely time during our visit for our anniversary. Susan was very friendly and helpful and allowed us to try some of her delicious teas. Everything we needed for our stay was in the vicinity, including thoughtful breakfast items from the local organic market. We would definitely stay again and recommend this place to others. Such a quiet retreat at the time of our stay!
