Cabin vacation rentals in Marengo

We stayed here for Derby weekend and couldn’t have been happier with it. Only thing we wished was different was a longer booking! Beautiful views of the Ohio River and very peaceful environment. Darlene was great with communication and instruction. Would recommend this stay to anyone looking to get away from all of the city commotion.

Andrea is personally invested in your satisfaction as a guest. She is responsive and friendly. She has organized this space with guests in mind: extra hooks, shelves, storage spots, little extras here and there, sensibly placed for easy access. You'll know what I mean when you visit. And do. it was perfect for me and my husband and three teen daughters. Thank you, Andrea!

Took a trip to Holiday World and wanted some place to stay that wasn’t a hotel! The hot tub definitely got used after long days at the park and beds were very comfy. We had a 40-45min drive from the park so I’m not sure we’ll do that again but would return for a Patoka lake getaway!

Wonderful stay, everything was great. Loved the peaceful surroundings, the hot tub, porch swing, fire pit, and various other thoughtful touches and amenities. Host was friendly and checked in with us to ensure all was well. Would stay again for sure.

My 2 sisters, my niece, and I stayed here for a random girls weekend! There was plenty of room for 4 adult women and the screened in hot tub was so awesome. We ended up not doing a lot of the activities because we didn’t make reservations for kayaks or boats in advance and we were only there 2 days. Overall we had an excellent time and I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful cabin! Had a lot of fun playing horse shoes and hanging in the hot tub. The Green Egg grill is another added bonus. Strongly recommend!

Our group had a great time at Justin's place. We spent most of our time in the barn, which was a perfect set up for our trip. They were also super responsive and helped us figure out a discrepancy to some late adjustments.

My girlfriend and I wanted to do a brief getaway for the weekend to celebrate our birthdays. Santa Claus and Ferdinand, Indiana both offered attractions that interested us (the Abbey, theme park, winery, brewery, Lincoln's boyhood home), combined with a beautiful countryside. We had a phenomenal time staying at Karen's place! The area was lovely, and the cabin had everything we needed. We especially appreciated all the amenities: the grill, the hot tub, and the coffee. She was extremely kind and accommodating throughout our stay. Our only regret was not staying longer to take advantage of the fire pit! When we return, we will try to book the same cabin; it was nearly the same price as nearby hotels, but far more peaceful and enjoyable. Thank you!

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this cabin for 2 nights, it was very peaceful and the host gave very clear instructions on exactly how to get there. Host was very accommodating and helpful. We loved this cabin it was a nice getaway from a busy city and we would definitely stay here again.

Our family had a great time. The home is delightful. We watched lots of wildlife visiting the property. The list includes deer, a ground hog, a very vocal couple of woodpeckers, squirrels, a raccoon and more birds than I can name. Drinking morning coffee on either the front porch or screened porch was a treat each day. The proximity to the lake is a huge plus. The house was clean, comfortable and cozy. We hope to return soon.

Patty was a wonderful host! She was always responsive to any questions I had, and was always willing to help out with anything! Her cabin was perfect for a small weekend getaway with my husband. We brought our toy poodle with us with no issues. Beautiful property a surrounded by the woods and a small pond. A perfect place for a quiet getaway. I would recommend her place and would love to revisit again!

Our stay was amazing! Much needed getaway. We rode our motorcycle and the views did not disappoint! This was our second time at Tim’s place and plan to visit again next year!

Billie was a great host! When we had trouble finding the place, she answered the phone immediately and guided us through. When I called her shortly after about the tricky AC, she offered to take time out of what she was doing to set it from her phone. Everything was clean, cozy, and the queen bed was so comfortable!

Loved the cabin! All the needed amenities and more. Owner was near if needed but did not impede on our privacy. Hopefully we will visit again!!

The property was very nice and the deck enjoyable. The house was not only comfortable but well furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the comfortable deck as well as skipping rocks on the creek at the back of the property. We look forward to a return visit in the future.

What a great peaceful retreat, not too far away from Louisville. Great to relax with the birds chirping around us and not much else to disturb us! The place had a wide open but warm feel letting in plenty of light during the day. We enjoyed hanging outside on the deck and also took short hikes into the woods alongside the creek - which were so peaceful and nice. The master bedroom was cozy as well to relax in and watch movies. John was very accommodating to meet all of our needs!

Dominique’s cabin is amazing! Peaceful surroundings. We booked for the Kentucky Derby and could not have been more happy with the place. Only wish I could have spent more time there. Will definitely try to make it back up in the winter to use the fireplace. She is the most gracious host I’ve ever had. Even had fresh flowers waiting on the table for us. Couldn’t have asked for a better host!

We loved our stay at this beautiful getaway. A real gem. The hosts were very responsive and the property was exactly what we wanted and needed for some quiet, private rest and recuperation. Absolutely recommend this property and these hosts. Thank you!!

Tina and Wendell (I think was his name ) . Amazing amazing people . Really enjoyed having them around to talk . Horse shoe pits are amazing . The fire pit amazing . Even the cats were friendly and loving . So peaceful . Tina gave us jar of sauce for our dinner . Would love to come back for visit . Thanks for having us .

We arrived after dark but gps took us right there. We came from checking out French Lick area and West Baden. While sitting in the atrium of that hotel I kind of wished we were staying there until we walked in the door of the beautiful log cabin. It was beautiful! It was clean and cozy. Although it rained the whole visit it was nice to sit on either the front deck or the screened in back deck area. It was private but other places nearby so it wasn’t so secluded it was scary! Will definitely be back for a longer stay. Loved the little bear family on the beam. I would live there full time but thanks for sharing your piece of heaven!!!

We had a wonderful stay! Dustin responded right away when I had questions. We felt at home and had so much to do at the house. The barn was a huge hit with kids and they liked fishing the pond! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we need to cook when needed. The peacock visited us twice, he was so pretty! We hiked at Mammoth Cave, hiked and saw the Forest Giants at Bernheim Arboretum, visited The Jim Beam Distillery and downtown Bardstown restaurants and shops! So much fun, it made for a memorable birthday celebration.

By far one of the most peaceful cabin rentals we've stayed at. The cabin was neat, tidy, and extremely dog friendly with lots of open space for them to run around. Sitting on the porch watching the sunset and rise with no sound or light pollution is a commodity these days - highly recommend for a complete offline experience!
