Stedet har en svært vakker beliggenhet med fint kulturlandskap i nærheten av en elv. Huset er arkitekttegnet og med ett unikt uttrykk. Vertene tok i mot på en hyggelig og effektiv måte. Hjemmet var hjemmekoselig! Det som kan forbedres er at noen av møbler i huset fremstår som slitte. Man kan også få inntrykk i annonsen at det er ett stort basseng. Bassenget er ganske lite og mest for barn egentlig. Men, vi er alt i alt fornøyde!

A great house in a beautiful location where you can unite with the mother nature. Américo and Rosalina are very nice hosts. They waited for our late arrival at 10pm to greet us and show the place, making the check-in process as smooth as possible. The house and the yard are very cozy, having a lot of lovely little details. The surrounding nature is gorgeous; the pictures do not show the real beauty. You can see the Milky Way in the night sky, and the morning fog covering the mountains is just stunning. We got the fresh bread in the morning at the gate, which was very delicious. Driving to Porto, Pinhão, and Guimaraes, is about one hour as part of the road goes via a serpentine road with amazing views. We were a company of four adults and two kids, and everything was great. The kids had fun swimming in the pool. I wish we could stay longer at Américo's place. We definitely highly recommend his house!

Recepção perfeita da Miquelina e Eduardo. A casa é linda. A chegada gera dúvidas pois a estrada é apertadinha. Mas Miquelina tira todas as duvidas em tempo real! Recomendo demais. É perfeito!

Fui muito bem recebido pela Marta, que me mostrou a casa e deixou alimentos para o meu primeiro pequeno almoço, entre os quais doce caseiro e fruta do pomar. A localização da Casa da Eira é fantástica, com vistas belíssimas sobre a baía do rio Douro um grande pátio com a mesma vista e mesmo ao lado a piscina. A piscina infinita é deslumbrante com vista para o rio e de grande tamanho. Toda a propriedade está muito bem cuidada com jardins e plantações de árvores de fruto; o tamanho da propriedade proporciona passeios a pé e recantos para descansar sem sair do local. A casa em si tem todas as comodidades e é muito confortável, com uma varanda coberta que proporciona a sensação de se estar numa casa de árvore. A amabilidade da Marta (que até me ofereceu ameixas da produção da quinta) , a localização e as comodidades, fazem deste alojamento um retiro ideal para verdadeiro descanso, quer se vá sozinho ou em família. Voltarei.

Casa bem desenhada, espaçosa e muito acolhedora. O Leonardo deixou-nos lenha para acendermos a lareira na sala e, junto com o aquecimento central, a casa ficou com a atmosfera perfeita para dias frios de inverno entre amigos.

C'est une maison très agréable, située dans un environnement paisible. L'accueil par Gloria était très cordial et les propriétaires Ana et Victor ont été disponibles pour nous indiquer la marche à suivre lors de notre arrivée en soirée. Nous y étions venus il y a 5 ans et nous reviendrons si possible.

If you are trying to find an authentic and unique place to stay, you should definitely go to A Padaria Farmhouse. My family and I stayed in the house for 9 days and it was so relaxing to live for a while in the middle of nowhere. The house is beautifully decorated and the choice of the materials was made with lots of love. We particularly appreciated the choice of Portuguese brands. Abi and Regina are exceptional hosts who made our stay memorable. We especially enjoyed the tour of the animation museum by Abi which was fascinating The property is very lovely, the flower and vegetable gardens are incredible and the whole ambience is very relaxing. A perfect place to stay for several days. We thoroughly recommend staying here and look forward to returning

This place is easily described in one word: Unique! Sleeping in a this renovated monastery was amazing! The view is just splendid, the swimming pool is perfect and the whole vibe: fantastic. The appartment's got everything you need. Well furnished, super clean, comfortable bedding. A great pace! In addition, you have a free and secure parking place, acces to the main building with a nice librairy, dinig room etc: lot of history in there! But don't get me wrong: your personnal space is all for you: living room, kitchen, bedroom: you have a complete appartment PLUS the old building with the libraoty etc.. ALso, Luis and is wife arfe amazing persons: always there for you and interested to help you. Luis also speaks french english and spanish! The premisses are just amazing with wine yards, places to relax, walking paths etc. DO not miss the amazing old chuch down the path AND make sure to visit the inside of the church gardens (door at the extreme right) Thanks to Luis and is wife for an amazing stay. Also, speacial thanks to the cleaning lady who is also a member of the tema and helped us when we arrived! We definitly recommend this place!

Very nice house with everything you could want for a quiet and comfortable stay in a beautiful surroundings and amazing view. We were a group of 7 people and we enjoyed every minute staying in the house, making good use of the pool, outside area, kitchen and bbq. Jose Manuel and Sofia were great hosts, providing good and swift answers eveytime we needed. Short note regarding driving. The roads in this side of Portugal can be curvy with a lot of hills, so we recommend taking good time and drive slowly. Apple and Gggle Maps can be a little tricky in this side of the world as sometimes it can take you to narrow streets only because it makes the route shorter by few meters so usually it is best to stay on roads marked as national roads (N***).

We found Adalberto and Paula to be very welcoming. Their house on the Douro river was very special, in a unique location and perfect for us. Peaceful, private and surrounded by nature, with beautiful views, we had a lovely and relaxing holiday.

Absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to go back!!! Adrianne was great dropping by each morning to have a little tidy in the kitchen and make breakfast. The view of the Douro valley from poolside and the rooms was incredible. Can’t say enough good things about our stay!

What an EXTRAORDINARY accommodation Casa Marmelo was for our group of 8 adults when visiting the Douro valley !!! Host Kate was super to work -- right from our initial contact for information through our date of departure. What an excellent WELCOME GUIDE she provided before our arrival - with valuable tips and suggestions for activities and dining throughout the area. Housekeeper Helene too could not have been more kind, charming, and helpful. What delicious breakfasts she made for us each morning. The entire property was kept so clean and tidy. What a memorable time we all had -- we all hope to be back!

The house is incredible — a beautifully renovated old mansion with plenty of space for the whole family. We were a large family group of all ages, and everyone felt right at home. There were lots of toys for the kids, as well as a pool and a small playground outside. We loved the garden; it was just a pity that the weather wasn’t ideal, so we couldn’t enjoy it fully. One great feature for bigger groups is the number of bathrooms, along with the huge living room, which has a large TV and plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. I personally loved the kitchen, which was fully equipped with every appliance we could possibly need. Last but not least, there is also a small vegetable garden open to guests — we enjoyed a few onions and used some fresh lemons for our tea. :) Antonio was very responsive and helped us promptly whenever we had any issues. We truly hope to return to this beautiful place someday!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cette grande villa. Nous étions 9, la maison est extrêmement spacieuse, et possède tout ce dont nous avions besoin La piscine était vraiment appréciable et chauffée à 32 degrés, quelques carreaux étaient manquants dans le fond du bassin, (attention aux coupures) mais cela reste très convenable et appréciable. L’hôte était très réactif à chacune de nos demandes et nous as même permis d’arriver un peu plus tôt le premier jour ! En bref : un superbe séjour dans une villa luxueuse !

Aunque el tiempo no acompañó, hemos pasado unos días buenos en tu casa, gracias por todo Miguel!!
