Very cute little house by the Rio, converted from a mill, it's rustic but at the same time everything has been arranged and thought out to have a good time, with all the comforts possible (and even games available, a coffee machine etc). There are a lot of spaces to put yourself, although the house is very dark as it is in old walls, but the garden is simply beautiful. Between the sound of the stream that passes below the terrace, the flowers and the deckchairs to settle in, we were in paradise! Everything was clean and in place for our arrival. The house is right next to a bridge and we went for a walk around it was really great. A very nice restaurant is 2 minutes' drive from the for a more chic atmosphere also appreciable! Thank you very much :)

The house and all the surroundings are truly designed to give a family everything they need to have fun and rest. Nothing is missing and everything is in very good taste. House with good appliances and outdoor spaces that motivate and help good living. Wood oven, stove and rustic kitchen, barbecue with crockery and cold support, beautiful tables that can accommodate everyone. Children's playground, toy house, swimming pool with wonderful lawn, good loungers to relax. Shady spaces with rocks and trees, a small tank with fish for the children to say good morning, a background music of silence and birdsong mixed with the laughter of children and at night a starry sky. A little paradise Impeccable cleanliness and amenities. I recommend it

It was an amazing weekend. We felt at home. We enjoyed the cold nights by the fireplace and with family games. Our pet was super happy with the green areas. Clean and comfortable linens. In addition to excellent communication with the host, always available and polite.

Antonio has been very kind and responsive attentive. The house was clean, tidy and full of details. We leave the refrigerator medium full of useful things. a great trip in a good place.

It is a very nice house, located in a peaceful environment. Gloria's welcome was very cordial and owners Ana and Victor were available to let us know what to do when we arrived in the evening. We came there 5 years ago and will be back if possible.

Ines and her mother looked after us incredibly well during our stay. We were welcomed to the property by the friendly face of Ines' mother and she showed us around all of the property and grounds. Once we had the tour and knew where everything was, the hosts vacated the property and left us in privacy. The property is stunning and the pictures truly do not do it justice. The pool was a sun trap, the grounds we beautiful, we even forgot to buy lemons for cocktails but the property even has a lemon and orange tree to solve our problem. There is nothing that this property doesn't have. If it's not there, you don't need it. Thank you so much to everyone at Quinta de Gatao for looking after us. We will be back for sure.

Spectacular farm. All spaces were comfortable, from the bedrooms to the living room and kitchen, as well as the leisure space outside the house. Super tidy, with incredible views of the banks of the Douro River. Good living areas to enjoy with family or friends. Host always helpful and in communication about any questions about restaurants in the vicinity. Farm with the right to bread and fresh cakes in the morning, as the baker goes to the farm to deliver.

The cottage is way nicer in real life than it looks in the pictures. It is spacious, well equipped and the location is absolutely stunning. Marilia was highly communicative throughout, gave us a warm welcome upon our arrival, and even left fresh veg and a lovely welcome pack. I recommend asking them to send the location to you directly before you travel as the one on Airbnb doesn't work.

A great house in a beautiful location where you can unite with the mother nature. Américo and Rosalina are very nice hosts. They waited for our late arrival at 10pm to greet us and show the place, making the check-in process as smooth as possible. The house and the yard are very cozy, having a lot of lovely little details. The surrounding nature is gorgeous; the pictures do not show the real beauty. You can see the Milky Way in the night sky, and the morning fog covering the mountains is just stunning. We got the fresh bread in the morning at the gate, which was very delicious. Driving to Porto, Pinhão, and Guimaraes, is about one hour as part of the road goes via a serpentine road with amazing views. We were a company of four adults and two kids, and everything was great. The kids had fun swimming in the pool. I wish we could stay longer at Américo's place. We definitely highly recommend his house!

Very nice and cozy place. Very spacious, just like the photos, very clean and hygienic. We were a group of 6 and we really liked the outside and inside of the accommodation. I will certainly book this accommodation again for the excellent conditions it offers. The owner of the accommodation is super attentive and responds promptly to all questions. The accommodation had all the necessary conditions and utensils for everything to go magnificently. There is nothing to point out about the accommodation.

The stay was great. A big old house, full of history and unbeatable views. Alexandre offered us a lot of information about places to go and eat, but we opted to enjoy the house, its garden and pool. Julia was also very friendly and a good cook.

We had an amazing stay here, a peaceful retreat from our jobs in the middle of the nature. Great amenities with the pool & pool table, table tennis and BBQ. Will definitely go here again one day

António and his family's house is just amazing. The views of the mountains and the river look like a landscape taken from a picture. The house has everything you need to unwind and enjoy a relaxing holiday. The pool was also in perfect condition. António is a very good communicator and offered us his help at all times. Hopefully we can repeat this experience again!

The apartment is superb..The setting ,the environment is wonderful and the Portuguese are humanly so good..So touching..I felt like I was on a cloud of tranquility and peace... I would come back..The Douro Verde half marathon is really, already unforgettable...

We spent 15 days in the house and were delighted. The hosts are very helpful and kind and were great. The house is very comfortable and is very well equipped, it does not lack anything( well, a slightly more modern TV) the area is beautiful and there is a lot to visit. Above they admit dogs and the mias have enjoyed on the estate as locas. The photos do not honor the house. Thank you for everything Very , highly recommended.

We stayed at Pedro's house for ten days with our two sons, 8 and 10 years old. It was very nice there, the children could splash in the pool, we cooked a lot, grilled and read the terrace with hammock and the huge fantastic garden. With the canoe you could go directly from the garden to the river. Nazarè, who took care of the garden every day, told us a lot about the area and gifted us with lemons and vegetables from her own garden. We made excursions through the vineyards and also day trips to Porto and Amarante. Thank you Pedro and Nazarè for the beautiful and relaxing time!

It was a very pleasant few days, the physical conditions of the house are excellent. The decoration is very tasteful and nothing is missing in order to provide a positive experience to guests. Very well equipped in the kitchen, where you can enjoy both the outdoor and indoor dining space. The pool, as well as the jacuzzi, were impeccable in terms of cleanliness and the water treatment does not cause any discomfort. The only negative point I can point out, but which according to the owner, is being resolved by the energy supply company, is that the electricity was “down” several times… I am confident that on a next visit it will no longer be a problem.

We were delighted with our stay. The house was clean, the view of the Douro Valley is simply fantastic, from the veranda, from the pool, from the pergola facing the kitchen… heavenly. Some neighbors, but the vegetation isolates well, the garden is large. When the vegetation has grown a little at the end of the pool, it will be really perfect!
