Cottage vacation rentals in Manitoulin District

We had an incredible time at this Airbnb. If you’re looking for a relaxing, remote experience, look no further. We enjoyed the hot tub, the comfortable beds and soft linens, beautiful forest for walks, and the fire pit for evening fires. I imagine during the warmer months it’s really nice to enjoy the lake as well which is right across the road. We had a really nice time and would definitely return. Thank you Mike and Meng!

The house was excellent and had everything we needed. It felt like home, cozy, with a great view! It was filled with all dishes we needed, as well as towels and blankets. I celebrated my birthday there and it accommodated my friends and family. I definitely recommend this place and would stay here again!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Richard's cottage near Kagawong. It is a large, open space with lots of seating, beds and amenities. The home has been beautifully renovated with lots of great art and furnishings. Although the weather wasnt great during our stay, we still enjoyed the beach, which is easily accessible. There are plenty of heating and cooling options to customize the temp in bedrooms and common spaces. Richard ensured there were plenty of supplies so it was easy to cook and stay in his beautiful home, even with young children. The cottage is about 15 minutes to Kagawong in a quiet neighbourhood. Honestly, the pictures don't do the view justice. We hope to be back soon!!

We had a great weekend at this Airbnb! Cassandra was super nice and responsive with any questions we had! the property is beautiful with lots to do and it feels very private.

Steph and Al are wonderful hosts. They are always quick to respond and have tons of information for those new to the island. Their cottage is stunning and incredible. It’s peaceful and exactly as described and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to stay there. We hope to return next year!

This is one of the best places we've stayed in, and I never thought I'd say that about staying in a RV. it's the newest RV trailer I e ever stayed in: spacious living area, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. the location is on a cliff overlooking the bay. the photos don't do it justice. we spent half our time just sitting in chairs overlooking the amazing Vista, watching the sunset, and then counting stars. Magical. Rachel and Nevada were really helpful with local recommendations. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great place. Had Everything we needed , beautifully decorated , bedroom fresh and inviting Hostess Lisa was amazing so accommodating Beach was nice and private. Outside furniture great Thanks for the experience

This place is awesome! Owners are super relaxed. Most people there are repeated visitors and we can definitely see why. Great fishing also. We will definitely be coming back in the future!!!

Lovely cottage nestled amongst the trees with stunning view of the lake! Fall colours were stunning and we felt right at home.

The Family Getaway was exactly was was described and even more! The photos on the listing were exactly as shown, and when we got to the location, we were blown away by the beautiful view of Lake Huron. The place was spotless and well organized. Definetly worth the price!

Kim's Cottage was very comfortable and had everything that was needed. The grounds were beautiful and was very quiet and secluded. Very comfortable to sleep and was very well cleaned. We cannot wait to come again next year.

As a foodie, I appreciated how well equipped the kitchen was. As a person sorely in need of a vacation, I appreciated the quality muskoka chairs that were well-placed to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets. Despite having no wifi, the kids enjoyed themselves immensely too, and we all felt like fantastic parents. Would go back.

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay at Alberto’s place. The property is beautiful, serene, and comfortably accommodated 4 adults, 1 child, and 3 dogs. Our 12 year old loved the loft beds. Alberto was very helpful and responsive to all questions, the cottage was very clean and cozy. The water isn’t the best for swimming if you’re picky but we were able to swim anyway and it’s great for the provided water toys. The second cottage next door is much closer than it appears in the photos. This didn’t affect us as we were fortunate not to have anyone renting it during our stay but if you are looking for seclusion bear in mind you would likely be on top of each other if another group was booked there. Overall I would definitely stay here again and recommend it immensely for a family getaway.

We enjoyed our week as we started each day with coffee on the dock and ended with a sunset drink each evening. The location was central to everything we wanted to do on our first visit to Manitoulin - Misery Bay and Cup and Saucer for hiking, Providence Bay for great beach time, and Gore Bay for chocolate and brews. The cottage was comfortable with everything needed for our stay. Jeff and Jenn were great hosts. We shall return if the opportunity arises and recommend to others.

Beautiful place right by the pier! Amazing location near restaurants and gift shops! A/C worked really well. 10/10 would recommend and will book again when we come again!!

I just loved this cottage, is secluded, private and has beautiful surroundings. I wish I could come back year after year (been here 6 times already) maybe a vip membership is waiting for me for my next trip 😃.

We stayed at cabin 2 at camp Mary Anne and had a wonderful time. The cabin is rustic, but was perfect for the getaway I wanted. It reminded me of my aunt's cottage from when I was a kid: squeaky screen doors, rattly windows, loons and chipmunks. I was so happy that my daughters got to experience that lakehouse feel.

What can I say about this beautiful place? IT'S SIMPLY AWESOME! I cannot recommend this cottage enough. It is really well appointed, tastefully decorated, the location is stunning. There are truly no negatives to point out. We had such a great time! The lake is really nice and shallow, great for kids to play in. We took the canoe out for a paddle and enjoyed the newly changing fall colours. The sunrises are picturesque, and the view is purely Canadian. The cottage itself really left us wanting for nothing. The couches are cozy, and kitchen had everything we needed, and the bed is comfortable! We really loved the privacy too. There is another cottage nearby, but there are lots of visual blocks to make you really feel like you're secluded. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation without feeling like you're roughing it, then THIS IS A MUST SEE! Thanks to Molli for being such a great host and making this gorgeous place available.

Stellar view of the sunrise every morning. Cottage is very clean, well kept and has everything you could possibly need. Love the view, the peace and quiet, the constant sound of the water on the shore; the deck is a great place to spend all of your time. Enjoyed paddling around the bay - so clean and beautiful. From our sea kayaks, we watched the deer frolic in the water - they came out quite a ways as the sand bar is shallow and runs for miles! Paddled up Manitou and Blue Jay river - fish were jumping! The cottage is centrally located - short drive to anywhere on the island for your day trips. Although you may be tempted just to stay put at a cottage that has all of the comforts of home.
