We are located 5 minutes from the trans Canada highway and between Shawnigan Lake school and Brentwood College.

On the door step of the Cowichan Valley (aka The Warm Land, because it boasts Canada warmest year-round temperatures) and Central Vancouver Island, close to Brentwood Bay College, Shawnigan Lake, the Gulf Islands, and 45 mins to downtown Victoria or 1 hour to downtown Nanaimo.

This stand-alone unit includes a king bedroom, single bedroom, three-piece bathroom, fireplace and an open-plan living and dining area. Outside, guests have their own private seating area and BBQ for relaxed outdoor dining. Surrounded by forest, with a seasonal waterfall, nature hikes to our 1 km of coastline. Just 20 mins to Victoria or Mill Bay, close to the Malahat Skywalk, island wineries, and Butchart Gardens via ferry.

Only 30 min from downtown Victoria, Oceanus offers a relaxing retreat/romantic sanctuary. Featuring a king-size bed, a queen-size pullout sofa, and a crib, this garden suite accommodates up to four adults. Oceanus has a full kitchen, equipped with all you need to prepare delicious meals, including a blender, a mixer, and a BBQ grill. Oceanus also offers a full bathroom, free laundry, parking, and fast internet (PureFibre), a cozy yet roomy space, and a private backyard with gorgeous views.

With trails nearby, and some even attached, yet still close to all amenities in Cowichan and Langford, we like to think we have it all here! We are happy to provide guests with all the modern basics you need; plus a hot tub, fire pit, and bbq. We also have baby amenities available upon request.

J&F placed a big emphasis on outdoor entertaining with a massive covered deck, the picnic table patio, & access to a cedar barrel sauna! Whether coming from close or far, you deserve it!

The Surf- Ocean Front-By the Beach- Outdoor Bath

Ocean front West Coast retreat located 40 meters above the surf, bordering China Beach. Enjoy beach fires, forest walks, hiking, mushroom forging and surfing. A short intermediate private trail will take you down to the beach. The 560 square foot cabin is set back on the property, offering spectacular panoramic views of the Juan de Fuca Straight. Cozy up by the wood fire in this cozy 1 king bed cabin or have a bath in the outdoor tub and enjoy the breathtaking views!

Nestled in the trees, you'll find nothing but peace and tranquility, located a few minutes walk from the famous Kinsol Trestle & the Trans Canada Trail; a haven for hikers, mountain bikers & outdoor enthusiasts. We are a 5 minute drive from West Shawnigan Lake Park (lake access) and an 8 minute drive from Masons Beach / Shawnigan village, and a 50 minute drive from Victoria.
