You can also arrive to Kissos by cutting a road, through the new road that passes by the ski resort of Chania. There are many grocerys and restaurants around the village square (kissos), by car is about 1500m, and by pathway is about 350m from home There are many beautifull beaches at the footheels, and the nearest is about 6.5km

Last but not least the beautiful beaches of Pelion are located in 31km. from Portaria.

Ina blessed place we created with great care an independent house fully renovated. The ancestors of the family in 1905 built this building with the neoclassical tendency of the time, for the use of a small shop. Today we thought to renovate it and offer comfort and tranquility to the visitor, in a green farm full of hydrangeas, fruit trees and overlooking the endless blue of the Aegean Sea. In the traditional village of Makrinitsa, going uphill and walking 200m of paved road, you will find yourself in the fountain of Tsoni. Next to it is the fully renovated stone house that is ideal for spending moments of tranquility and relaxation while gazing at the panoramic view that is generously offered to you. A simple, austere space, as befits a village in Pelion.
