Vacation rentals in Madison County

This was our second time at Aerie Loft and once again it did not disappoint. We love being in town, it's so quiet and the 2nd floor view directly across from town square and the iconic, newly restored Courthouse. Nicole has done a super job decorating the place and appointing it with everything we might need and many, many extras that were really 'nice to have.' This trip we had a chance to meet our host when we dropped into the clothing boutique next door and there she was. That shop was another marvel. For a small town, it was full of very cool, new stuff. Fun! . We hit The Drift restaurant right next door multiple times, one Sunday Brunch and twice for a night cap and nibbles. The staff, menu, prices all great! We came for a niece's' high school graduation, they live out-of-town a bit. This was perfect, could have walked to the HS. We hope we have another excuse to come back. Will definitely be staying at the Aerie Loft. Only comment: woulda'/shoulda' drank decaf, if you had it. :)

We love staying here, it was clean, easy to find, close Winterset Square, and the space was adorable.

Great quiet place, super clean, just what we needed while visiting friends in Des Moines.

Staying with Susie is now a yearly trip for us. She is an amazing host and you cannot beat the charm of the town. My daughter looks forward to this stay more than any other we take. Can’t recommend staying here enough.

The host provided everything needed for the perfect glamping experience. The surroundings are beautiful & serene full of fresh flowers & even had the company of some friendly pets in the garden.

This was a beautiful little get away. It was so nice to be unplugged from the world and just rest in this restful spot. The hammocks in the trees were peaceful as you heard the birds chirp and watch them fly around. The lighting at night was beautiful perfect for walking the area and getting to the conservatory. Would recommend to friends for a weekend getaway. And will be back in the fall when the leaves are changing colors! Hosts were friendly and gave perfect recommendations for us to eat at as well as visit. Will be back!

Everthing was great! The place was very clean, comfy and cozy. Parking was right next to the door. Beds were beautiful and comfortable. We felt right at home.

We were so happy with Deb’s place! Very clean and everything worked, ie, air conditioning, lights, fans and microwave. It was so hot in Winterset, the AC was much appreciated!! Also, very roomy house. We were very comfortable and will stay again if we ever visit Winterset in the future.
