Remote, stylish ‘Barnacle’ Bothy on private island

KateRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A very memorable stay in such a unique location. Ned and Toni could not have been better hosts, they made arriving on the island easy. We swam, did some fishing, spotted lots of wildlife and marine life. Sitting around the fire pit was a highlight in the evenings. The place was really well equipped, they have thought of everything! Our dog also had a great time of course.

Cottage in Carradale

Joanne's place was a peaceful retreat for 2 people with beautiful views over to Arran. The accommodation was very well equipped in the kitchen and the double bed was very comfortable. The main bathroom was a good size too. It was nice to be off grid for a while and we felt benefits of quality downtime in the house. 10m away you have your perfect spot for a morning dip and within a short walk you have a small hotel with friendly locals for company.

McGregor Cottage

McGregor Cottage was a great place to spend a couple of nights. The location was incredibly quiet (perfect for a light sleeper like myself) and the accommodation was exactly as in the photographs. Campbeltown, the Mull of Kintyre, and Gigha are all within easy reach. I would definitely stay again.

Luxurious Cottage Machrihanish

Just spent 3 nights at Toni and David’s wonderful cottage. Perfectly located, the cottage leaves you wanting for nothing. Beds were super comfy with a wide choice of pillows. The cottage was really cosy with easy to operate heating. The finish of the fixtures and fittings in the cottage are first class. We would happily live here permanently! As hosts, Toni and David were perfect. Easy check-in instructions and super responsive to any questions we had. Would we stay here again??? Absolutely! Would we recommend it? Absolutely! One of the very best cottages we’ve stayed in on Air BnB 🥰

Ballygroggan Farmhouse - UK35208

GordonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I booked this accommodation for four of my employees who were working in Campbeltown from 6th-16th May, 2025. They all reported back that the farm house was fantastic; probably the best accommodation they had ever stayed in. The farmhouse had great amenities, with plenty of space and modern appliances inside. They also really enjoyed the outside space, with the BBQ, lambs and sheep wandering around, and stunning views across the Macrihanish Bay. Would definitely stay here again, and would recommend to anyone visiting the Campbeltown area.
