The space
Lush gardens hide stucco walls at this organic-minded Catalonia retreat. Cypress and lavender line the pool patio, while chickens strut past outdoor living and dining areas. Wood beams framing the main-house great room still boast their knots, but metal accents are a sleek modern counterpoint. It’s about 30 minutes to the medieval walls of Girona and Costa Brava’s fine dining and pretty beaches.
