The space
Elegant and serene, Fabio is a villa with the relaxed style of a country home and a location conveniently close to the town center and beaches of Gouvia. This area of Corfu is known for its quiet coves, beautiful beaches and laid-back lifestyle, and it’s all just a short walk from this refined vacation rental. A lush setting and six suite-style bedrooms, including one in a separate guest house, create an ambience of luxury for up to twelve friends or family members.
Fabio opens to a stone-paved terrace with shaded sitting and dining areas, charming stone walls and arches and a standout pool that runs the length of the house. Settle into one of the loungers to enjoy the sunshine, or step onto the private tennis court for some friendly competition. The villa has its own exercise room where you can keep up with your routine, as well as a spa area with a sauna if you’d prefer to relax. In the evenings, try out local seafood on the grill along with Greek vintages from the wine fridge.
Throughout the villa, neoclassical architectural details are expertly paired with modern decor, creating spaces that feel grounded in tradition yet fresh and contemporary. The living room’s stately built-in cupboards are countered by whimsical owl accent stools and a bold red coffee table, and in the dining room, glossy marble floors are balanced by a clean-lined table. In the fully equipped kitchen, bright red lacquered cabinets border on the edgy.
All six bedrooms at Fabio have an en-suite bathroom and open to a terrace or balcony. There are five in the main house: a master suite with a king bed, two bedrooms with queen beds and two bedrooms with two twin beds. The sixth bedroom is in the guest house and, with its queen beds, living area, kitchenette and romantic fireplace, could double as a honeymoon suite.
Though the villa feels quiet and secluded, it’s just a 2-minute walk from the Gouvia village center, with its oceanfront tavernas, and a 5-minute walk from the village beach. If you’d like to see more of the island, it’s less than a 10-mile drive to the picturesque town and port of Corfu, the local tennis and golf clubs, the Gouvia marina and two other beaches. At the end of your holiday, plan on a 15-minute drive from Fabio to Corfu International Airport.
