Cosy Village House – Walks, Culture & Nature

This cosy and relaxing house is located in a small village in the Allier (03, Auvergne Rhône-Alpes). You will find a bakery, a mini-market, a bar-tabac, a pharmacy, a hotel-restaurant, a local products shop and a brocante. The village borders the Allier River – ideal for canoeing or fishing – and the house is situated on the GR3, the Way of St. James (Camino de Santiago). No wifi or television, but peace, relaxation and board games to enjoy life in a different way.

Hidden between maples and bamboos, the chestnut cottage is located right on the edge of a 700 m2 body of water. Private entrance, free adjoining parking, not overlooked by the rest of the estate which consists of 30,000 m2 of a small private stable, a small cottage and our home. A wonderful stay at Château de Paraize: peace, space, nature. Staying in the French countryside with beautiful views of the horses in the fields. The river Allier is within walking distance, enjoy beautiful nature, old towns, wine estates, markets with good food or flea markets. Or bbq with us at Paraize itself, participate in a wine tasting in the old wine cellar by candlelight, or just enjoy the campfire.

The refuge

Close to Lurcy-Lévis, the circuit and Street-art, on the edge of the Chemin de Compostelle, the Refuge welcomes you with an open equipped kitchen in a living room, two bedrooms, toilet and separate bathroom with walk-in shower. Terrace with garden furniture and BBQ. Parking in private courtyard that can accommodate your vehicles as well as car door. Meals can be offered by reservation through our caterer.
