I can’t thank our host enough for opening this beautiful home to us. It was the perfect location for our snowmobile trip. Great for parking for our trucks and trailers. Laura was a great communicator with quick responses. She was very informative and helpful. We look forward to renting this property again in the future.

Cozy Cottage on East Lake

a cozy comfortable house with a beautiful view of the lake, where it was nice to spend time. Most of all I liked watching the hummingbirds that constantly flew in to drink water from the drinking bowl under the window 😍

Perch Lake Cottage

KimRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This place is our dream cabin. A smaller real log cabin in the woods on a lake. It was so quiet and cozy, surrounded by trees. There are neighbors but you would never know. The insides were very comfortable and the kitchen had nice cookware, dishes and everything else we needed. Did a lot of rock collecting along Superior's shoreline a few miles away and put in just a little over 100 mile of trail riding. Ate at Pine Stump Junction, great food and staff. I almost don't want to give the cabin a good rating because I want it all to myself! I am honest though and it was wonderful.

Lake Lovers Dream Cottage on beautiful Round Lake

AmeliaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The cabin was the perfect launch pad for excursions to Pictured Rocks and Tahquamenon Falls! Even without our planned trips, we could have just as easily enjoyed a beautiful stay on the lake. Amenities provided created opportunity for swimming, camp fires, and relaxation. We also loved the peace and quiet (after the kids finally fell asleep of course). We highly recommend staying here to enjoy the beauty of this cabin, and the rest of the UP!

U.P. Memories

SabineRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Ron is an exceptionally responsive host—before, during, and even after our stay (we accidentally left something behind, and he was quick to help). Unlike other places we've stayed that lacked basics like soap or coffee, this cabin was incredibly well-stocked and thoughtfully equipped. Of course, what truly sets it apart is the stunning view and direct access to the lake. While there’s no grocery store nearby, we came prepared. It’s a perfect family getaway if you appreciate comfort, coziness, and being immersed in beautiful forest and nature. No wonder it's fully booked for the rest of Summer! ;-)

Camp Two Hearted- Off-Grid & Riverfront Base Camp

JohnRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Perfect fall getaway! Aside from the outhouse (which was not bad at all for an outhouse) you hardly notice you're “off grid.” The solar-powered lights, woodstove & furnace, propane refrigerator, cookstove, and kitchen set-up made it a significant step-above camping. The hosts provide a book of area resources and maps that we found very useful. We wish they would have provided directions to their “secret rock spots.” We enjoyed the base camp and the excitement of daytrips in our Jeep on the backroads — but it was hard to leave the enjoyment of the camp. The setting is breathtaking: the Two Hearted below a stroll by day and a bonfire under the stars at night. What a secret gem!

Gypsy Lodge- Bears Den

Julia And SteveRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Gypsy Lodge- Bears Den - Newberry It is 1 of 3 log cabins available, an off grid Lodge! One of THE COOLEST "off grid" places we've been to!! Marissa & Brian were very accommodating and made us a spot to have a fire in the snow & plowed the long rd in the morning we left. The cabins are very cute.. I used our griddle to make breakfast one morning (too windy to cook outside on griddle) and heated chili in a crock pot for dinner after riding. Made sandwiches to last a couple days, had lots of snack veggies & cheese & crackers..less to cook.. 😋We made sure to unplug & turn off lights when not inside. The heat inside cabin was awesome. I had to turn it down to sleep. Bath house was nice, hot water shower, just a few steps from the cabin...The trails were awesome in areas, bunny hops a lot on trail 8. awesome riding monday in a fresh 6" of snow. All in all a GREAT PLACE to stay...I want to book for next summer..the big cabin next time..Thanks Marissa & Brian!

Escape to nature in your own Rustic Retreat

ChristineRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Steve’s Rustic Retreat was perfect for our family vacation. The best thing about it was the peaceful surroundings! It was so quiet around the lake and resort grounds. We loved being off-grid, off-line, and away from the noise of suburban and urban life! If you are looking for a rustic vacation, this is the place. We liked the simplicity of the cabin and the clean outhouse. Although, it took us awhile to adjust to the sound of the hot water heater in the cabin, especially since everything else was so quiet! Also, as most pull-out couches tend to be uncomfortable, we brought an airbed for our youngest son. But the other two beds were EXTREMELY comfortable! The bedding was so soft. We were able to fall right asleep so easily! Steve was very helpful in pointing out certain excursions in the area and answering any questions we had! We loved his dogs too and they were all very friendly with our Dixie dog. The wild blueberries in the area were a treat and the kayaks were a plus!
