The Priory is an impressive former Gentlemen’s residence, which dates back to 1864 and has been lovingly restored as superior apartments. Set in a tranquil cliff top area of Shanklin, the apartment features stunning uninterrupted panoramic sea views. The impressive apartment boasts a master double bedroom, with ensuite bathroom, twin second bedroom and also a family bathroom. The open plan living area includes leather sofas with a home cinema and music system with LCD TV, HD DVD/CD player, Freesat, mobile/tablet jack and radio tuner, with speakers and controls in all bedrooms and bathrooms, and dining area. It also includes the granite finished kitchen, which features an integrated dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, oven, hob and microwave. From the living area, there are French doors that open out to the spacious decked area, where you can sit, relax and soak up the spectacular scenery. There is also over 2 acres of woodland gardens, complete with winding paths, beautiful plants, play and seating areas. Surrounding The Priory is National Trust and farmland, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and many coastal walks, all waiting to be explored. Off road parking and cycle parking bays are available and we are able to offer 15% discounts on car ferry services from Red Funnel from Southampton and Wightlink from Portsmouth and Lymington, so please get in touch after booking for details. Just five minutes walk away is the Old Village, with the famous thatched cottages and a selection of local shops, pubs and restaurants, and the main town centre following afterwards. Finally, it is just a few minutes from the cliff top and Esplanade with its sandy beaches.

Shanklin town and bus links are in close proximity to the flat.

A beautiful self contained Annexe attached to the Victorian Old Upper Chine School House. Based in Shanklin Old Village with its thatched roof pubs, restaurants, shops and beach a short walk. The new Mead View Annnexe has light and airy living space with lounge/kitchen/separate w/c shower, upstairs bedroom accessed by spiral staircase. French doors downstairs lead to a private patio. Charming 2 bedroom cottage with Ocean view

Well where to start - 5***** all the way. Martyn was so friendly and helpful before our holiday, letting us know the round the island boat race was going on. A spectacle to see but sadly my photographic evidence didn’t really work out as I’d hoped. Martyn’s place is beautiful. Great interiors and very comfy bed with beautiful linens. A very very generous welcome basket - a lovely gesture meaning we didn’t have to pick up any essentials on the way. The cottage is in a great area - a short walk to Bonchurch and a somewhat longer stroll to Ventnor, but easily doable along the coastal path. Super garden with a table and chairs facing the wonderful sea view. All in all, I can’t recommend Martyn or his cottage more highly.

A cosy stay with our dog. This room enabled us to enjoy an excellent week long stay and explore the island from our base. Judith was easily contactable and there was a small grass area (overlooking the sea) for doggie just at the bottom of the long driveway. Also there’s a footpath there too to get to the seafront. Judith provides some extra touches too thanks

Louisa is a very friendly and helpful host and responded to questions very quickly. We were celebrating a birthday and it was a sweet extra to find decorations, a card and some fairy cakes when we arrived. Spacious accommodation, gorgeous view of the sea.

The entrance to the Coach House is framed by dark wooden beams and features a welcoming entryway. Potted plants sit on either side of the door, which opens to reveal a dining area visible through a doorway. The pathway is laid with red bricks, leading towards the interior.

We had a great time at this sweet little cottage. A trip away for my mum’s 60th. Exactly as described and so close to the beach. Would definitely stay here again. Beds were comfy with a good amount of wardrobe space in the main bedroom. Sweet, cosy living room, and lots of local cafes. One thing that would be lovely is some sort of visitor book for people to write in with their recommendations during their stay.

What a fab little place this is! Perfect for our half term break on the beautiful Isle of Wight. It is an annexe at the rear with a lovely garden yet also a gorgeous balcony at the front with sea view. It is cleverly designed to have everything you could want without feeling at all squashed. Host was absolutely lovely, so kind. It’s a few mins drive into Ventnor and pretty much everywhere else on the Island is reachable with 30 mins drive or less. Highly recommended
