The Nellie is a four-season houseboat, located in the wilderness of the Gatineau River; a boat-in location in summer, accessed from our home parking 2kms from the boat, or via two public boat launches 10km away. We offer canoe rentals and ferry options below. Before winter, Nellie returns home to freeze into the ice; providing access by foot 30m from our home parking, and electric heat. She has a bucket toilet on board, a summer outhouse, and winter access to our shared indoor basement bathroom.

Wakefield waterfront on the Gatineau river. Great views of and only a few steps from the iconic covered bridge and a short walk to restaurants, pubs and cafes. Two fireplaces, two decks, and plenty of parking. This is a brand new home that we are sure you will enjoy. Respectful, courteous guests only. The magnificent views from the home and the two large decks come with some effort and this vacation paradise is not recommended for those with mobility issues.

Magnifique maison chalet avec vue exceptionnel , l’équipement étaient adéquates, le spas était tres propre et vraiment utile pour nos fin de journée de pêche, les chambres sont confortable et spacieuses ainsi que bien équipées . Une place exceptionnel pour le cannot dans une baie calme ( terrain abrupt pour la mise à l’eau ) . Parmi les chalet les plus tranquille à se jour … merci aux hôtes de nous avoir accueillit , vous avez mis notre la barre haute pour notre voyage de 2026 , qui sais on y retournera probablement !!! We loved our stay in Wakefield. Lynda's place is so lovely and full of charm and character. Located right on the main street in Wakefield you're steps away from local restaurants, the boardwalk along the river, shops and walking trails. We visit Wakefield often and stayed here while our house was getting some work done. The apartment was clean, cosy and comfortable. Really enjoyable stay.

This cottage is a small slice of paradise! The cottage is cozy and well-equipped, and the property is beautiful and easy to explore. We came with our 8-month old, and it was so nice to have children's books, different toys, and the play structure outside. We enjoyed a hike around the small lake, and we are hoping to return in the summer to get in the water.

Helene's Sanctuary was the perfect spot for us to rest and recharge for a weekend. We enjoyed the art, the backyard, and the view from the room. The gardens and rockface are stunning. The bed was very comfortable and we found everything we needed in the space (a mini-fridge, kettle, keurig, microwave, toaster). It is also half a block from a bakery and grocery shop. Helene was helpful with recommendations and anticipated our needs. For example, she offered to make us a fire on a cool evening and leant us an umbrella for the rain. Helene was an amazing host and even had a special gluten free treat for me on my arrival - imagine! We highly recommend staying at Helene's, what a treat. Looking forward to returning again soon.
