Giannis was a truly gracious and welcoming host. The welcome video was really helpful in lieu of meeting him in person. We felt right at home immediately. The house is as pictured, and the view of the White Mountains as glorious as hoped - truly incredible, in any weather. We were very comfortable throughout our 8-day stay, and Giannis was extremely responsive at all times. The insect screens on every single window were great as were the shutters, and we appreciated the air-con/heating in both living and bedroom. It’s a very private house, with a huge terrace, large living space and a walk to a local restaurant. For anything more a car is required, but that’s assumed given the isolation of the place. Wonderful property - we’d happily choose this house if on this side of Crete again.

This is truly a gem! The house itself is not big, but it is not necessary. Here you live outside. We ate every meal outside, because there is a nice gas BBQ and you can cook perfectly outside. There is no outdoor kitchen yet, but this is on the schedule to provide. There are plenty of corners to sit outside, there is a jacuzzi (heated), swimming pool (warm enough from June), the mattresses are good. There are 2 bathrooms, each with a toilet and good shower. You will receive plenty of towels and, if you wish, cleaning will be done halfway through, both inside and outside. Theodorus and Martina are super friendly and help where needed. They respond to messages immediately. Upon arrival, the refrigerator was also filled with fresh fruit and milk, etc. Be sure to visit the restaurant where Theodorus works, super delicious and authentic Greek food. You will need a car to get around, because you have to drive 25 minutes to Chania. But you get a great view and tranquility!!
