The Place

DevinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was a wonderful stay! The rooms were well organized. The space and its surroundings were beautiful. The pool was clean and there was plenty to do, both on the property and in town which was only a short drive away. As a heads up; this may not be a problem for others, but there were hardly any curtains in the bedrooms. With little kids this was a problem to have them not wake up too early. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.
A spacious outdoor area is presented, featuring a picnic table and a fire pit surrounded by grass and trees. Gravel pathways lead through the area, with a shelter visible in the background. Sunlight filters through the foliage, creating a serene setting.

I had a blast celebrating my birthday here. The pool was amazing and the views were spectacular. Not a far drive from DFW but enough to be out in nature. The house was clean, comfy beds and a great kitchen and dining table to entertain. Pick this place!!!!

5/5 Stars - A Peaceful Retreat with Furry Friends! "I recently had the pleasure of staying at Justin’s beautiful property, and it was truly a unique and unforgettable experience! The property was immaculately maintained, and the real stars of the show were the adorable goats and 3 friendly dogs that roamed the premises. They added so much joy and character to my stay. The accommodation itself was cozy and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Justin was an excellent host, responsive to our needs, and provided wonderful recommendations for local exploration. The peaceful surroundings, combined with the playful company of the goats and dogs, made for a perfect retreat from the city. I felt right at home and left with huge smiles on my face. Highly recommend this charming property to anyone looking for a tranquil and memorable stay with a touch of rural charm!"

Quaint, Accessible Country Cottage for 2

CindyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
It was not luxury but very clean, comfortable. Wonderful soft snuggly blankets. It felt safe. It is not in the city but only a few minutes drive to good restaurants. There were some good Tex mex restaurants close by. I was born & raised in Texas so I miss the plethora of Mexican food availability. It was a trade off but a loosing one for me. It is comfortable & anyone should find it a very good choice for a stay.
A corner of a room features a vintage wooden chair adorned with a floral cushion, accompanied by a small side table with a lamp. A chest of drawers with decorative pulls stands nearby, while framed artworks are displayed on the wall.

We loved staying in this adorable little house with a history! It's perfect for two people and within walking distance to the local grocery store, several local eateries (great Mexican restaurant!) and a couple nice bar/grills. The bed & linens were very comfortable and everything worked just as it should. As always, nice to have a washer and dryer so we don't move on to our next destination or head home with laundry to do! We brought our own small charcoal grill and plenty of space to use it while sitting on the back porch. I didn't use the kitchen much but the coffee pot and microwave worked well. We will definitely stay here again if we're ever back in the area. It's a small town but larger towns are short drives away and Dallas is only about an hour and half. Best of both worlds!
A horse is seen standing near a wooden fence within a farm setting. The fence is complemented by lush greenery and a sign reading 'CHURCH.' Logs are stacked nearby, and trees provide dappled sunlight in the background.

Lewis and Clark Cottage

Adorable Country Cottage. Cozy bed. I mentioned to the host that we would be arriving late in the evening, and she left lights on and air conditioning. What a nice surprise. I would definitely stay there again.
Inside the tent, a cozy sleeping area is highlighted by a wooden post featuring a whimsical decoration with a gray beard and a black hat. A spacious bed with a patterned red coverlet is positioned against a rustic wooden wall, complemented by bedside tables and warm lighting.

“Glamp like a Champ”

JuliaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The glamping tent is amazing, set up in a great spot. The size was more than comfortable for 2 people and a dog. We saw goats, cows, chickens, bass, catfish, perch, turtles, cardinals, hawks, cranes, rabbits. The fishing was fun and ACTIVE because it's catch and release. All the little extras you're afraid you won't take with you, they are there already. Comfortable bed/furniture. The daytime temps outside were around 100 which made it pretty warm in the tent, but as soon as the sun set..the a/c cooled off the tent so much, we needed the bedspread while sleeping. BIG THUMBS UP! Watch the sunset on the lake, build a fire, listen to the bullfrogs as you star gaze, grill outdoor and play games, this place has all that and more. Jeff is a great host, friendly and accommodating. Checked on us a couple times via phone to see that we were doing alright. We can't say enough good things. Very private, and absolute gem! Can't wait to come back!
