Lake houses in Long Lake

Our stay was amazing. The scenery was beautiful, the cabin itself was well stocked and clean and our host was extremely responsive and helpful. We will definitely be returning in the future!

We had a great stay fishing, walking and just relaxing. Did some driving to Speculator and Indian Lake too. Good plan when it’s buggy!

Carolyn was a wonderful host. My wife broke her ankle 3 weeks prior to our original booking and Carolyn worked with us rescheduling us out 3 weeks. We can’t tell you how much it meant to us! The place was perfect! The screened in porch was so comfy when the bugs got annoying. The beach was great! Definitely on our list of places we would like to return to!

Incredible cabin and wonderful hosts. The location is perfect with lots of local hikes and plenty to do! Sadly we had our plans rained out but the space was so beautiful we quite enjoyed our time being spent almost entirely indoors. Gorgeous and intimate space.

Fantastic stay. Wished we could have stayed longer. Beautiful surroundings. Everything needed was there. Many selections of coffee and teas, as well as treats. Even had two small vases of beautiful fresh flowers!

We had a fabulous long weekend at Shasta’s place. Our family loves the outdoors and the location couldn’t have been better. It is right on Garnet Hill XC ski and snowshoe trails. Garnet Hill has been a favorite of our for years and so discovering this house was a gem of a find. It is also super close to Gore for some great downhill skiing and great snowshoe trails are also close. It is also super quiet being away from roads and other houses. We enjoyed cuddling up in front of the fire and playing games in the evening. We’re definitely planning to try to come back in the future!

This was exactly the type of place we were looking for. It was snug, quiet and peaceful. There's lots of great wildlife watching opportunities, kayaking, swimming, fishing and hiking locations. The restaurants we found were absolutely amazing. We can't wait for our next visit. Thank you!

Amazing location to xc ski at Garnett Hill (right down the road about 5-10 mins) or Gore Mtn to ski (about 15 mins away). The location is very peaceful and the house itself is a great mix of updated and cabin cozy. We have two young boys ages 6 and 3 and found the layout to be kid friendly and safe, no issues with the stairs. The host even left a high chair in the entertainment room ( which we didn't use but was a nice feature for families with young kids). We found the amenities to be great, it was comfortable to stay and cook in the kitchen and use all the appliances--we used the coffee maker, stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave. The showers were warm and bathrooms were updated and nice. We all took full advantage of the wood stoves and sauna after skiing and playing in the snow. Amenities are within 10-15 mins in North Creek, we found the food options at Tops to be great. Would recommend to any families or outdoor seekers!

This is a very nice house in a beautiful location. We saw a lot of wildlife (Beavers, ducks, fish) just in the backyard, and the lake was very fun to kayak/ canoe on. The kayak rental store was just down the road from the house, which made it very easy to rent them/ retrieve them. Awesome place to stay for a lake vacation

Enjoyed the lake house, view was as promised, so pretty. I worked remotely using the internet, video calls went great.

We had another wonderful stay at the Dollhouse. The weather was perfect and the hiking (which includes a great hike from the front door) was amazing. The sunsets on the back porch were delightful. Evenings in front of the fireplace were a great way to end the day. The accommodations were comfortable and welcoming. The Dollhouse worked perfect for a family gathering and everyone enjoyed their visit. Virginia is an exceptional and responsive host. We had a problem with the internet, and she responded immediately and solved the problem. We plan to be back again next year.

It was a great long weekend. Close enough to the crowds to enjoy, and far enough away to be private and also enjoyable. It would be nice to see some growth in restaurants and more options for food.

Lovely home in a lovely setting. The view is breathtaking and Barbara has outfitted the space woth everything you could possibly need. She is extremely thoughtful and personable. The area is great for hiking and outdoor activities but is also near Middlebury College and Burlington.

We LOVED our stay here! The lake is so peaceful and the house has the perfect view. Andrew was very helpful and accommodating and we would highly recommend staying here!

The cabin was a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Enjoyed the private setting and wonderful view of the lake. On one of the cool rainy days the fireplace enhanced the ambiance. Cabin was clean & tidy. Wonderful place to escape to.

Jake was an excellent host. My partner and I visit ADK at least once a year. This was our first time in Indian Lake and we very much enjoyed our time. The place is so neat, clean, and provided everything we needed and more. The view from the dining room was perfect to sip our morning brew and watch the sunrise or to watch the sun set with a nice cup of tea. The neighborhood is quiet and there is plenty to do in the area. It’s in the center of other great surrounding towns as well. We look forward to return sometime in the future. Thanks Jake!

ideally, located for parents weekend at the camps, the suite has beautiful views and comfortable rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the host was helpful and communicative.

The Cabin at Breezy Hill was the perfect spot for a cozy stay at the Adirondacks. Robin and Curt have been so helpful, kind and thoughtful. They had great amenities and everything we needed. Our favorite was the screened porch which was perfect for morning coffees and had a beautiful view. The fire pit is supplied with plenty of wood, the stars are incredible at night and the cabin has the perfect view of the Milky Way later into the night. The hiking trails nearby offer a beautiful view of the mountains. When our stay came to an end we reluctantly left but with amazing memories. We recommend anyone looking for a perfect spot in the Adirondacks to stay here. We will definitely be coming back. - T&A

The stay and accommodations were wonderful and better than we had anticipated. We had plenty of room for 3 adults (mom and 2 daughters) and enough high speed internet to allow all 3 of us to stream before going to bed. The outdoor area was perfect for sitting out together while cooking. Neighbors were around but it was peaceful. There are a lot of activities in the area. We hope to have another stay. Janet was great at communicating both via text, email and with her info book. It was the perfect spot for our get together.

We had a fabulous time in the Safari tent. We are used to camping so we brought everything to be self sufficient. At the time of our stay we didnt have electricity or water at the site so we brought our own. Portapotty was spotless and comfortable to use. We camped with my mom, mother-in-law, and my 3.5 year old daughter. Everyone slept well and LOVED the surroundings. We used the kayaks and life vests on the property, saw and heard loons and geese. Pond was stocked with trout but we sadly didnt have time to fish! VERY quiet. Hosts were extremely friendly and responsive. We will be back!

Wonderful comfortable, clean, cozy accommodations that has everything a traveler would need at their fingertips! The ability to cook in the kitchen and do laundry daily was a huge plus! Sunsets on the lake out the front door were spectacular! Grateful to have found this gem.

This cabin was truly impeccable. The attention to detail was outstanding. If you’re into a cozy old-school cabin vibes you will not be disappointed! Incredibly clean and tidy. We appreciated all the time and theme appropriate details and decorations. Compared to many Airbnb’s the accommodations and accessories were way higher quality and more abundant. The fireplace was a real treat. Throughout our whole stay my friends and I were remarking on the quality of the place!

The cabin was so cozy with many thoughtful touches, so peaceful, so relaxing. We really enjoyed our time there. Of note - the stairs leading to the deck overlooking the lake were very steep and very narrow. My sister has limited vision and it was difficult for her to maneuver without assistance. I did not see any mention of this in the property description. The property description listed a dock, which was not in place during our stay. We paid a $300 cleaning fee and per check-out instructions, we were expected to take all our garbage and recycling to a transfer station with a permit (expired) the host supplied. We ended up loading all the garbage/recycling in our SUV and taking it home. This was a little disappointing.
