I had a very pleasant stay at José's. The accommodation and amenities are as shown in the photos and everything is perfectly clean. It is located in a peaceful village around which several viewpoints are accessible both on foot and by car, and 30 min drive from Porto Moniz. José and his wife are very kind, as is Edgar the host. Thanks to them for the stay 😁

If you're looking for a quiet area to get away from the crowds in the cities this is a wonderful place. It's nestled in the mountain valleys near Ponta do Prago but quite near the ocean. We loved our 6 day stay at Frederica 's. She provided good, clear instructions to get there. She also gave us very useful information on local attractions, restaurants and supermarkets. The house is on a very steep pitched road so walking up and down it can be a challenge ( we are in our 70's ) We did it a few times. There is a walk from her house to the waterfalls . It took us about 2 hrs. Rnd-trip but it was well worth it. If we were to return we'd go back in April or later.

The place was spectacular in terms of the scenic views and the comfort. Everything was very kept and clean, having all the amenities needed by a huge group of people. A very respectful and responsive host (Carla) was amazing and helpful! Will definitely come back again!
