Celyn is situated in the magical valley of Nant Gwynant, right in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. It's incredibly fortunate to be one of the very few cottages in Snowdonia that is only a 10 minute walk from the Watkin Path, a spectacular route up Snowdon. From the cottage itself you are afforded the most awe-inspiring views of the Snowdon Range. The cottage has been recently refurbished & sleeps 4 people in 2 double rooms. It has everything you need to have an enjoyable holiday.
“Had the best time, was clean and really well done. Start with I felt the the communication was great with the directions and everything else. Wasn't hard to find at all. When we got to the cottage it was in a great location for us wanting to do loads of activities and perfect for walks. There was instructions for everything and helpful guides for things to do. Really do recommend this property”
This comfortable, updated stone-built cottage is the ideal base for an adventurous break in the Snowdonia National Park. At the base of the Nant Peris Valley, one of the most dramatic in Britain, it is perfectly located for climbing Snowdon. The accommodation is great for one or two couples, or a small family. In our tiny village of Nant Peris we have a great local pub with ales, good food and an inglenook fire a stroll from your front door. Castles, beaches and adventures- Snowdonia has it all.
“We’d like to thank Tom so much for his hospitality during our stay in the cottage. We had a lovely time despite the weather being pretty awful, but it was a lovely break away. The cottage was pretty much what we had expected from reading the reviews and Tom couldn’t have been a better host. We really appreciated his quick responses to our messages and he was even kind enough to give us a lift into the village one evening to save on taxi fares. We weren’t able to get up Snowdon this time due to the weather but it is perfectly situated for it and we may be back in the summer! ☺️ There is WiFi however this can be a bit temperamental and slow, and with there being no signal, it’s perfect for anyone wanting to shut off the real world for a few days - although we did get signal just a few minutes drive away. There is a lovely little pub next door which do nice food and has a nice open fire! Overall we enjoyed our quiet break away and the cottage is nice and cosy. Would definitely recommend!”
This house was originally a butchers shop in the picturesque village of Tanygrisiau. It has a self contained garden flat on the lower ground floor. The Ffestiniog railway runs in front of the main house and beautiful walks are on the doorstep.
“Sheila is a very thoughtful host. The accommodation is cosy and quaint. The living room doubles as a bedroom and opens out onto a conservatory and a little garden. There is a large bathroom with a deep cast iron bath and separate shower. There is a clothes washing machine and a hanging clothes maiden to dry damp jackets or washed clothes. There is lovely stove and Sheila has plenty of dry logs for cold days although the accommodation is centrally heated anyway. The location is close to some interesting walks but most walks in the National Park are a short drive away. The local indian restaurant (about minute drive) is homely and plain but nice food. We didn't try the chippie/pizza takeaway but it looked fine. Nicola and I will definitely try and return.”
