“Thank you Llyr and Emma for a perfect relaxing weekend! The cottage is brilliantly equipped, and much more spacious than the pictures suggest. Llyr and Emma were great hosts, providing comprehensive instructions and replying promptly to messages. It really felt as though they had thought of everything. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful location next to the river, with easy access to local walks and nearby villages. The hot tub and log burner were the icing on the cake. We cant wait to go back!”
Get away from the everyday with a break in the mountains of Wales. This private, detached barn conversion has it's own terrace, a wonderful open plan kitchen living room and a glamorous and romantic bedroom with an ensuite. Step outside and there are over 25 miles of forestry track starting from the front door and the 4.5 mile long Alwen Reservoir just 5 minutes walk away. That is all before you start to explore the area... If you want to get away from it all, this is the place to come....
“This is such a stylish, cosy, wonderful find! We loved that it was right next to the reservoir and really enjoyed walking around it (which takes about 3 hours, so take snacks!). The location was great for pubs too, although you’ll need a car, but you have everything you need with a fully equipped kitchen if you want to stay in. We found the lack of WiFi and no phone signal quite refreshing, but it’s something to be aware of. We’d really recommend this place if you like walking and then relaxing in front of the tv or with a board game. We’ve already had four people ask where it is based on our photos! Lucinda was a great host, super fast to communicate and even came to check on us when a huge storm arrived (we were of course, warm and perfectly fine, but that was very kind). We will definitely be back!”
You will love our cottage, with breath taking, panoramic, far reaching views of the idyllic Welsh, rural landscape, the rolling hills and mountains, to be enjoyed from every window. The sunrises and sunsets offer a spectacle of colour and silhouetted beauty, which can only be seen in all their glory from your elevated position. Surrounded by fields where farm animals live along with soaring birds of prey and other wild birds, it's so comfy and perfect to relax in or explore North Wales.
“The farmhouse is fantastic. The views, countryside and location are idyllic. The house itself is renovated with all the creature comforts and modern amenities whilst retaining the character and charm of the beautiful building and location. The facilities were spotless and there were thoughtful touches throughout. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again when we return to North Wales. If you are lucky enough to be able to book this hidden gem, snap it up because you won’t be disappointed.”
