Magic Mountain Cottage: family- & dog-friendly

There is nowhere quite as magical as this: an historic, creaky cottage, at the end of a farmers track below Cader Idris. It's a back-in-time experience, with wooden beams and antique furniture, owned by the same family for over 60 years. Please read all the details carefully before you book. It’s a 300 year old cottage on the side of a mountain, space, fresh air and tranquillity. It's comfortable but nothing fancy. No TV or wifi, but a woodburner, books and massive views behind the cottage.

Lovely traditional stone cottage, built originally as a chapel in 1806 in the village of Arthog in Eryri/Snowdonia National Park with beautiful mountain views. 5 minutes from the railway at Morfa Mawddach (5 mins to Barmouth), or a fab walk. Just a few metres from the stunning Mawddach Trail, it is the ideal location for a wide range of outdoor activities such as hill walking, mountain biking, pony trekking and close to Fairbourne beach with its famous steam railway. It retains it's original oak beams but has a full width staircase for easy access between floors. On the ground floor It has an open lounge-diner with a sofa bed whilst upstairs is a separate double bedroom and bathroom/toilet. The cottage comes with it's own private gated parking space. It's placed within seconds of all town amenities.
