The Penland School of Crafts is 3 miles away and the beauty of the campus can not be beat. We are halfway between Boone and Asheville for all that these two towns offer.

Mountain View, walking trails, water falls etc. Mineral Museum, Rock Capital of the world. The cabin was built several years ago. After I had discovered Little Switzerland and fell in love with the area. Richard my son and I built the cabin. My wife and I both work in a School system so we were able to spend all summer there and many weekends. So there not much time available to share the cabin. As we aged we use the cabin very little and decided other might enjoy it like we did.

Convenient to Asheville and Boone, the Alpenrose provides a private and relaxing retreat for the adventurer looking to hike, fish, sightsee, boat or just relax. Private deck overlooking the Black Mountains is a great place to peacefully unwind. Private waterfall located in the neighborhood is just 1 mile away, accessible by walking or car.

Historic cabin with fire pit, walk to village

Ginny's Cabin is a short walk from Little Switzerland Village and about a ten-minute walk from Switzerland Inn, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin has two bedrooms, a big stone fireplace, full kitchen, covered porch, flagstone patio with a fire pit, and plenty of room to relax outside. Dogs are welcome. I live in a separate house on the same six acres, so I'm nearby if you need anything. The cabin itself is not shared.
