Close to Denmark's second-largest forest area - Gribskov - National Royal North Zealand with the beautiful castles and magnificent scenes of nature with lakes, forests and beaches. Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. From this small guesthouse in Liseleje, you have all the options for a cozy holiday in Liseleje. The guest house is located on the same plot as the main house where there permanently live 2 families. The house is located with 200 meters down to the most beautiful sandy beach. On the opposite side of the water, you walk 100 meters to get straight down to the cozy little town, which feels like life in the summer. We recommend Max 4 people. The sleeping arrangements are in the loft and you must therefore be mobile and able to climb a steep staircase.

Blåbjerghus is a brand new well insulated wooden house. It is simple and beautifully decorated and there is just about everything you need. The nature around is simply wonderful. You can hike, run and bike straight into the woods. From the house there is a fantastic view, where you can see Roskilde Cathedral in the distance, and a few meters from the house there is a view of Roskilde Fjord. Close by is Jægerspris Castle and there is a beautiful little beach with a jetty. A peaceful place to stay
