Here you'll find a great getaway from the city buzz, but only 10min away by walking to the ferry that takes you to Lisbon. 5 min walking distance to the Fluvial station of Porto Brandão from which a 10min boat trip will take you directly to Belém. The Windmill was totally refurbished but kept the original feel, with practically no alterations to the original structure preserving all stones, windows and iron pieces as initially found when the property was purchased. This accommodation offers the unique experience of sleeping on a building with more than 150 years of history, originally used for grinding flour to be sent to feed the inhabitants of Lisboa. In the kitchen on the ground floor you’ll find 5 millstones that will bring you closer to this past time. This cozy Windmill is equipped with a very comfortable bed for well-rested nights and a lounge area that provides a great spot to chill at sunset, enjoy a glass of wine or even to have a meal, but that can also accommodate 2 additional people on a double mattress. Adding to the character and comfort found in this Windmill you'll find stunning views from here. You’ll be able to see several sights along the river such as the 25 de Abril bridge, MAAT, Museu da Electricidade, Padrão dos Descobrimentos, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and as far as the Sintra’s Palácio da Pena goes. Depending on the time of the year you will also be presented with blossoming trees, be able to pick fruits directly from them, or even enjoy a meal on top of an olive tree treehouse. Ideal for slow-paced tourism, nature lovers, romantic escapes, or family trips this accommodation offers plenty of opportunities due to its characteristics, vicinity to cosmopolitan Lisboa and a bunch of interesting sites. The windmill is on the south bank of the Tejo River, just across from Belém. It's in the quiet of the countryside, and is just 10 minutes from Lisbon by ferry boat and many beaches by car. 5 min walking distance to the Fluvial station of Porto Brandão from which a 10min boat trip will take you directly to Lisbon (Belém). From Belém to city center there are plenty trains (10min). Please check the time schedule for the ferrys at Transtejo website. Connection between Belem and Porto Brandão. A taxi/uber drive from Lisbon city center to the windmill usually it's about 20eur.

Au risque de ne pas être très original vu les différents commentaires laissés auparavant, l'accueil et l'hospitalité de Filipe et Isabel ont vraiment été parfaits ! Leur gentille chienne Nova est également adorable. L'appartement est très bien placé à 5 mn à pied de la gare, ce qui nous a permis de nous rendre tantôt à Lisbonne, tantôt à Cascais mais également à 10 mn de la plage. Nous recommandons vraiment cette location idéale pour un couple et un enfant. De plus, tous les équipements sont conformes au descriptif annoncé.

I stayed for a month getting to know the area with a view to settling in the vicinity & this was the perfect base - wonderful, knowledgable hosts, quiet environment & peaceful countryside with only a 12 min drive into the centre of Cascais and a 15 min traffic free walk to Guincho beach. I’d recommend having a car as the village has limited amenities, but everything you need is a short drive away & the train from Cascais will take you into central Lisbon in no time. I can’t recommend My Friends House highly enough.

The studio villa features two single beds neatly arranged with navy blue linens. A wooden ceiling beams across the cozy space. A small desk is positioned nearby, accompanied by a potted plant. Welcome decor hangs on the wall, and warm lighting is provided by bedside lamps.

Unikt boende i en över hundra år gammal kvarn med kvarn-inredningen delvis bevarad. Vackert beläget med fantastisk utsikt. Sandra tog emot oss med stor värme o generositet. Vi hade önskemål om att se fler kvarnar och Clotilde var mycket behjälplig. Ett boende vi gärna rekommenderar.

Barbara ha sido una anfitriona muy atenta, amable y siempre disponible. La casa es estupenda, todo muy bien preparado, y con un vino de bienvenida que me encanto. La cama es estupenda, la casa estaba limpia y todo muy bien decorado. Un lugar muy tranquilo donde descansar y cerca de super mercado, bares, farmacia y del centro. Me ha encantado. Han sido unos días estupendos de descanso y si quieres ir al centro o la playa tambien esta muy bien comunicado.

Absolut fantastische Unterkunft. Die Lage und die Aussicht vom Tiny House lädt zum Entspannen und Abschalten ein. Im Haus ist es sehr sauber und man hat alles, was man brauch. Konrad&Martina sind sehr herzliche Menschen, die einem mit offenen Armen empfangen und das Gefühl geben, daheim angekommen zu sein. Lissabon und andere Ausflugsziele an die Küste sind ca 1h Fahrt entfernt und einfach zu erreichen. Das Airbnb ist eine absolute Empfehlung unserer Seits für jeden, der gleichzeitig Abschalten, aber auch mal einen Ausflug in die Zivilisation unternehmen möchte.

Logement chaleureux spacieux et décoré avec goût. Je recommande. Légèrement excentré de l’hyper centre mais il est tout de même possible de s’y rendre à pied. Cependant le logement se trouve à proximité du quartier d’alfama, lieu très mignon, rempli de charme et de boutiques sympas. Points + : Cozy Lisbon etait très réactif, logement très agréable Points - : rue passante un peu bruyante, serviettes de bain propres mais tachées, stores opaques laissant entrevoir la lumière du jour Tout le reste était parfait, merci pour l’hospitalité !

Unser Aufenthalt war wunderschön. Wenn man Entschleunigung, Ruhe und Nähe zur Natur sucht, ist man hier genau richtig. Ein super großes Grundstück mit Terrasse und Garten, wo man sich so richtig entspannen kann :) Toll war der Blick aufs Meer und nachts kann man viele Sterne sehen. Danke!

We stayed at Manny and TJ’s tiny house for two nights and absolutely loved it. The space was spotless, beautifully designed, and full of thoughtful details that made it feel like home. The outdoor area was peaceful, private, and perfect for unwinding after a day out. Our 6-year-old son had an absolute blast exploring and playing outside — it’s a great spot for families. The outdoor office setup was also a fantastic bonus for remote work, offering a quiet and inspiring space to get things done. We really appreciated the welcome guide and the group chat they created, which made communication and finding local recommendations super easy. The attention to detail and cleanliness truly stood out, and we felt cared for every step of the way. We’re already hoping to return soon and spend even more time in this lovely space.
