Pleasantly warm thanks to underfloor heating and never hot in summer due to good insulation and shady trees!

Our approx. 200-year-old, lovingly restored half-timbered house in the Elbtalaue protected landscape area is a special place: The ballroom of the former “Alte Linde” inn today invites you to a cozy get-together as a large kitchen-living room with a fireplace. The 5 bedrooms with country house flair are surrounded by a very large garden with plenty of space to play (trampoline, sandbox) and enjoy (fire pit; grill). Behind it, river & forest, lake.

In the middle of the forest, on a clearing, 3 km from the beautiful town of Gartow, lies our special retreat. If you are looking for peace and quiet in nature and value simplicity and goodness, this is the place. The old half-timbered building, a former stable, was renovated with high quality and sustainably with natural materials. Clay plaster on the walls and the wood-burning stove guarantee an excellent indoor climate, and the walk to the wood-fired sauna promises absolute relaxation!

During your stay with us, you will live in a lovingly restored, spacious construction trailer with a terrace and garden area. It is also set up for long stays. In winter, it is heated with wood and briquettes and it quickly becomes cozy and warm. Fluent cold water is available in the wagon only in the frost-free time! Horses can be brought, 1 hectare. Coupling directly on the car. Bathroom area and sauna are 50 m from the main house.

Our tiny house is the perfect base for cyclists, hikers, short-stay vacationers or ornithologists. Lake Sumter is only a few minutes' walk away. The Elbe is 4 km away. The light-flooded tiny house has 2 sleeping places with TV in the "upper deck." 2 more people can stay on a pull-out couch. There is a well-equipped kitchen and under the walnut tree you can linger and relax on a 20 sqm terrace with a grill.
