The cabin is 120 sqm and was completed in the spring of 2020. The cabin is of very high quality with "Madsstova" from before 1850 - originally from Jølster. The cabin has 2 fireplaces, laundry room and sauna. At the cabin there is a covered patio and boat and canoe can be provided, but must be booked separately. To fish in the water you have to buy a fishing license. The cabin is located by Viksdalsvatnet/Hestadfjorden and in a great hiking area. Further up the valley you come to Gaularfjellet and over to Sogn. In the opposite direction is Førde with 13,000 inhabitants

From the cabin it is a short distance to the shop,golf course and Jølster ski center. Jølster can offer cultural experiences,local crafts ,art museum. From the cabin it is walking distance to Tindefjelle and Steinegga.

The nearest town is Førde which is 30 minutes away. Haukedalsvatnet is about 500 m from the cabin, where you can buy a fishing license. Here is a nice place to find peace.
