Wonderful weekend in Dwarsgracht, despite the rain We had a fantastic weekend in the cottage on the Dwarsgracht, despite the weather not always cooperating. The cottage was comfortable and cozy, and the location is beautiful — even with rain it is enjoyable in this area. What really made the stay special was Eva's hospitality. She was incredibly relaxed and open, even with our animal gang. We immediately felt welcome and comfortable. It's so nice when you come somewhere and find that you are not only tolerated, but really seen and appreciated. Thank you Eva, for your warmth and hospitality! We'd love to come back — hopefully with some more sun next time. 🌦️🐾

This was the most beautiful spot we have stayed at. The location and surrounding were so peaceful. Everything was exactly as shown in the photos.

We loved our stay with Mandy! The place was exactly as described. She gave us many local recommendations and was very accommodating and helpful. We loved being in a small secluded town. Short drives to ferry for island visiting and short drive to for restaurants other than the lovely pub in town.

Typical Dutch cottage – charming, cozy and exactly as described. We felt very comfortable. The only small point: we would have found a microwave practical sometimes. The location is ideal as a starting point for bike tours in all directions. Highly recommend for those seeking tranquility and nature!

A beautiful, modern finished secluded cottage on the waterfront. Super beautiful in nature, you can see deer and hares walking. On the other side, water. Nice for cycling, going to the city. Kitchen has everything, nice shower. Clean rooms with nice beds.

Overall a lovely stay in a very well located place. Kitchen was clean and had a large dishwasher which was helpful with children in tow. Full bath was lovely. Caretaker was friendly and a pleasure to work with. A really cool guy who furnished the place with personal, artistic touches. Groningen was so easy to explore on a rental bakfiets. Grocery, restaurants, parks and cultural places minutes from the apartment. Wish we had access to the washer/dryer given we were traveling with children. Bath was not operational due to a leak needing investigation through no fault of the caretakers doing, but would have made bathing children easier. Overall would highly recommend. Edwin was so friendly and oriented us during our check in. Groningen beats the bustle of the Randstad any day!

We spend a wonderful weekend there with friends. The location is lovely and quiet, but close to lots of activities in the area. Perfect place to stay, we'll definitely come here again.

Diana was very friendly and gave us many helpful tips. We liked the apartment very much and it was stylishly furnished. The location captivates with its proximity to the center and the furnishings corresponded completely to the description and had a high standard. We would come back here anytime.

Dear Hosts, We were warmly welcomed. Everything was sufficiently explained/ shown to us and the herb garden at the house was also at our disposal. We were also immediately helped with the bike search, Auke took care of everything and took us to the bike rental by car. The homemade apple juice (very tasty) and the fresh eggs were a lovely gesture. We felt very comfortable with the two of them!

The Blue House is really something very special. Mieke and Arnold have decorated it very nicely and it is perfectly equipped! I immediately felt very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed my stay! If I ever come back to Giethoorn, I will definitely want to stay here again 🥰

We had a great stay! The apartment is in a quiet and natural environment, is tastefully furnished and equipped with every comfort. Everything was sparkling clean and well cared for. The location is ideal: you are in Harlingen and Franeker in no time. Ympkje is an incredibly friendly and thoughtful host, who is always ready. We felt immediately welcome. We felt very comfortable at the place. The apartment is high-quality and equipped with everything you might need and more. The shower was a dream and from the huge terrace you had a direct view of the sea. The beach was practically right outside the door. Bakeries, restaurants, pedestrian zone, Netto market and much more in the immediate vicinity. Mirko was always available, very friendly and uncomplicated.

Had a great stay in the small apartment. Very fully furnished. A wonderful location to completely relax and unwind. You should not be very afraid of spiders and mosquitoes :-)

The only issue is that the ceiling in the upstairs loft is 190cm so if you're tall this cute cottage isn't probably ideal.

Hil provides a very spacious ground floor apartment with a fully enclosed rear courtyard for your enjoyment. The amenities are awesome, including washer/dryer, steam oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Highly recommend this apartment and its very central location. Thanks Hil.

We found the accommodation easily, it is located at the edge of the village of Tzummarum in the countryside. It is located on the 2nd floor of a workshop and is very bright with large windows and views of the countryside. There was no disturbing noise. We "fought" a bit with turning on the TV, the dishwasher and the hood, but that was certainly due to our ignorance of the appliances. At 67 and 75 years old, we are not always so fit with technology😂. Our hosts were very friendly and nice people who made living in their apartment comfortable and pleasant for their guests. Thanks so much

The place was/is very lovingly decorated. The surrounding area as well! It is a very functional place to stay and my personal taste is small and cozy. Yfke was present and accommodating when needed. She just has a knack for creating a nice and friendly atmosphere. All in all, recommended if you want to treat yourself.

It was super nice. The accommodation is beautifully located with a unique view of the IJsselmeer. As a result, there is also constantly fresh air, wind, and the sound of the water. We loved that. On the dike, there is also a beach for swimming. Good beds, great kitchen and shower, nice living room to relax. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday is there. The dog has also been thought of. We'd love to come back.

Ellens apartment is very easy to reach, we were allowed to check in earlier than indicated and Lars welcomed us and showed us the apartment. The apartment is beautiful, very quiet, terrace and garden wonderful for relaxing. Only the bathroom is very small. The whole thing is a bit remote - a car is necessary, but you can also reach the nearest town by bike. In the area you can watch the North Sea, enjoy wonderful scenery, explore nice towns, eat well, is in 1.5h in Groningen NL - simply switch off. We really enjoyed the days!

We had a great time. On the weekend, it was sometimes very loud because many tuners met in the parking lot opposite. During the week it was super quiet and we will be happy to come back

Had a great stay! Great location within walking distance of central Groningen. Very clean and cosy. Loved the little patio. We hope we can come back soon.

Tineke is a generous and careful host! Everything here is of exellent quality and in a good condition. You can live here for a year without having to buy extra things😆

We spent a weekend with two families including four children. Location is beautiful, quiet yet close to all amenities. The accommodation is very complete and equipped with every comfort. The children have enjoyed the space with table tennis table, pool table and shuffleboard for hours. Ideal when it was raining outside. The horses outside were also very popular with the children. The sauna and plunge pool for the parents made the house complete. Mieke is very hospitable and gave us good tips for the surroundings. We had a fantastic weekend. The kids can't wait to go again. A highly recommended accommodation with everything you need for a stay 😊 For the location, a bicycle is recommended, but also within walking distance if you have no problem walking about 15 minutes from the train station. The apartment offers plenty of space, is very clean and the kitchen offers everything you need! We will be happy to come back!
