Welcome to "Pouso": for those looking for comfort, simplicity and a unique experience in a traditional Mongolian yurt, hidden away on a 4 hectare olive and cork farm. This tranquil and Romantic escape is surrounded by nature and the singing of birds, the tinkling of sheep bells and the gentle rustle of the cork oak leaves. Situated within the São Mamede Natural Park, from Pouso you can walk up a medieval track to the hilltop town of Marvão where "one can see the entire land" (José Saramago).

Tapada da Raia

Tapada da Raia has 35 acres of land, in the Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede (being the last Portuguese house, because it is bordered to Spain). For years it served as an anti-stress refuge for the family, who today decided to open the doors for those who want to spend relaxing days in the nature. Fully equipped rustic house, located in an extremely quiet place in the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park. Here you can enjoy Nature in its fullest form, catching up on your reading or simply relaxing by listening only to the sounds of Nature. There is no telephone network in the house, which makes the stay more special, but it does have Wi-Fi. Ideal for a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and city stress. Casa da Piedade is a cozy retreat in total harmony with nature, where comfort and tranquility are priorities. Located in Portagem, at the foot of the Serra de Marvão, it is a 3-minute walk from the local pools and a 10-minute drive from the castle. Cozy cottage, inserted in a serene and natural Monte Alentejano with about 4 hectares. In the heart of the Serra de S.Mamede Natural Park, it is surrounded by a wide variety of native flora, such as Kills, Olive Trees, Carvalhos or fruit trees. Crossed by the Sever River and a stream that invites refreshing baths for its numerous waterfalls. It also has two real natural pools, old reused water tanks.

Off-grid experience.

This is not an Hotel. It is a paradise for those seek to unplug and reconnect to a slower pace of life while experimenting with off-grid living: solar electricity for lights, solar and firewood heating systems, low pressure water system, compost toilet, no mobile or internet networks available inside the house. You will have access to a splash tank, food garden, trekking paths and a small waterfall.
