“This is by far the best Airbnb my fiancé and I have ever stayed at. We brought our dog as they are more than welcome and the hosts are animal lovers! The yard is fenced in front and back and the chicken coop is dog-proof so it’s perfect for larger dogs too! The space is immaculately clean, Heidi herself puts so much effort into her & her husband’s home to provide the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced in my life. Not only did we have an amazing vacation, but we made some lifelong friends along the way. If you have a chance to book here, DO IT! The price point is insane and Heidi is reachable at any notice, whether you have questions about the home before or after you arrive! Heidi is incredibly personable, friendly, sweet, and brought an economy back into a dying town by working with local dispensaries and authorities to fund the most accessible bed and breakfast in town, as well as Colorado, where it is acceptable to partake in Marijuana. The cameras are there only for your safety and the safety of the chickens in the coop in the back. There are none in the home. You get free farm fresh eggs as well as anything you could need to cook with within the home! Oil, salt and pepper, seasonings. Coffee and good creamer for the morning. More than enough towels and both a washer and dryer- not a stack either! Heidi taught us so much about Los Animas. It’s an amazing destination with the largest body of water in a Colorado within about 20 minutes of her home. The lake has dried up some, so you can find fossils, geodes, and Native American artifacts by exploring the dry lake beds and areas near them. Heide is a pro rock hunter and knows the best spots to look out- we found some great stuff. Everything about this place is above and beyond what you’d expect. Heidi even gave us T-Shirts because we showed her home much we appreciated her home. My fiancé and I left knowing we’d made lifelong friends and memories we’d always cherish. We will always stay with Heidi if we head southeast from now on. She’s the best and I can’t say enough good things about our time and experience. Also, don’t forget to go to Carmen’s if you’re there on a Friday or Saturday evening :)”
This Cozy Retro Getaway is perfect for someone traveling for business, or a couple that is looking to reconnect with old friends, visit family, or simply experience all this little town has to offer.
“I would move into this cozy townhouse apartment in a minute... if I were moving to La Junta. It has a cool mix of classic fixtures and furnishings. The cleaning fee is so worth it - it is super clean. It’s easy to find, close to food, and manager Dad is available and gracious. Jessica is responsive and funny, “just read her welcome notes on the antique round table.””
Simple ,comfortable place while on your travels.
“My stay with Theresa and Dallas was one of the most amazing Airbnb experiences I had so far. Theresa picked me up at the train station and showed me around in La Junta and she greeted me with a lovely local beer she had bought especially for me. She gave helpful advice as to where to go and what to do. It was almost like coming home - they share almost their entire home with their guests and catered for every need I might have had. When I wanted to go out, Theresa gave me a ride to a sweet bar and picked me up again when I wanted to go home again. I couldn't have asked for more and was really overwhelmed by the great hospitality I found at Theresa and Dallas's. Should you ever come to La Junta, make sure to stay with them, you will leave their place refreshed and with fond memories.”
