Medieval Fort, Sud Ardèche stunning loft with pool

Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

Studio adjoining the owners' house with independent access. Located on the hillside, unobstructed and panoramic views of the Ibie Valley and mountains. Enclosed land and close to the center of Vallon (15 min walk). No smoking inside. The pool (from 06 to 09 depending on the weather) is treated with bio-uv ( so no chlorine or salt). Sunscreen is prohibited to preserve the balance of the water. 2 dogs (medium size) and 3 cats in need of affection present on the property.

You'll love my place because of the brightness and the comfort. My place is good for families, groups of friends. Bed linen is provided (except shower and pool towels). THE POOL (8 x 4 m) is secure. Free tennis 400 m from the house. WiFi in the house. (July August minimum week). ATTENTION (no parties or noisy evenings after 10:30pm to respect the neighborhood). Ideally located in southern Ardèche between the Gorges de l'Ardèche, the Eyrieux Valley and the hills of Drôme Provençale.
