Vacation rentals with a patio in Lamu

We had a wonderful time staying in Lamu as a whole. The apartments are central, easy to access restaurants, cafés, the beach was at 10min walking distance. The staff was very welcoming and everything was clean. The rooftop view is breathtaking! There was an issue with our initial booked room and we were upgraded upon arrival!

His description does not really do it justice! It is far bigger than you will expect and easily accommodate 6 without issues. Best thing though, was Abdillah himself. Friendly, helpful and a great tour guide around the village of Shela. This has been his home his entire life and it shows. I would recommend anyone wanting a relaxing yet exciting vacation, long or short, to visit Shela and stay in his place. We will be returning next year with our children! Give thanks Abdillah One Love

I wish I stayed here longer than 1 night. Poor planning on my part. Linet was truly incredible. Very helpful and gave me a free upgrade. Ideal location and easy to find. The design of the place is stunning. The breakfast is well worth it! Everything was delicious and fresh. Absolutely coming back to stay here with family. You will not regret it!

Jane was very helpful even before our trip, her house, Jaha is definitely prettier than the pictures. She has done a good job with the interior and she a nice collection of books you can read while relaxing. James the chef made such tasty meals, his soups are a must have 😅 Juma was also very proactive and he helped us around the Island. Jane has done well with her team, including Nasir who picked and dropped us at Manda Airport. We had a such a lovely stay.

Wow Wow Wow, what an amazing place. If you are looking for absolute peace and tranquility then Shanti House in Lamu is the place to go. Amazing setting right on the beach with breathtaking sunset, great beach walks, etc. The staff where great and Steven the house assistant was there to help with anything when needed. Although there is great restaurants around, no need to go out and look for restaurants as the chef Katana was amazing and his food was spectacular. I highly recommend Shanti House for anyone looking for an amazing beach holiday experience.

It is a very nice home in Shela, close to the beach, shops, restaurants and gives you an opportunity to explore the narrow streets and the island beauty. House is good, people are nice and I would recommend going there anytime!

Wonderful experience! Monia and Abdul are excellent hosts, super knowledgeable and helpful. Lovely place just slightly away from Lamu town, yet easily walkable.

Inya's home is even more incredible in person. This traditional Swahili-built home exudes charm with its unique decor. The location is just right for those up for a walk through Shela back to the peaceful, secluded sand dunes. Make sure to take a walk up to the dunes to watch the sunset—breathtaking view. Chef Sammy also made delicious meals—the jumbo prawn curry was our favorite. Inya's thoughtful hospitality, combined with the tranquil setting, creates an unforgettable retreat for those in search of an authentic and relaxing experience.

Our stay at Ttunu House was absolutely incredible. The property is stunning and spacious, offering multiple areas to relax. The rooms are enormous and feature beautiful, immaculate bathrooms. The team made our experience even more exceptional. Cornelius, the house manager, was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, arranging activities and offering fantastic recommendations. Chef Stephan's meals were delicious, and he was very flexible with our requests, even taking us to the market to shop for our stay. Jackson, the housekeeper, kept Ttunu House spotless and took care of our laundry every day. We truly lacked for nothing. Ttunu House is, without a doubt, the perfect place for a magical vacation.
