Cottage vacation rentals in Lake Whatcom

The place was surrounded by trees that made it private. I loved the fire pit, it was great to sit out with a glass of wine around the fire. The amenity building is a short walk. The nature trails just make you feel like you’re camping, yet you have a woodland cottage instead of a tent. Such a beautiful place. I stayed in April, off season. So very quiet. I met some of the owners and they love living there. The pond is like a painting with the Canadian geese, willow trees and cedar trees. Like wow! Very well maintained place. Amanda is responsive and easy host.

We had a wonderful Easter Weekend cooking and relaxing with our family. There was plenty of seating and the kitchen was fully stocked with amenities. Great floor plan for 2 families to share and find private space. We’ll be back!

Great family spot near Cultus Lake. Amenities were fantastic for our family of 5. Lots to do if you want, but also great place to just relax and chill if that’s what you’re after. The cottage is exactly as described and seen in photos. Dainia is a wonderful host and went above and beyond - even mailing me a few items we forgot when we left. Thanks for a great stay!

The place was beautiful and private, with many deer wandering freely. The cabin was luxurious, with a great kitchen, a hot tub, a huge wrap-around couch and a deck with plenty of seating. Autumn, the host, was very accommodating and easily reachable by phone. Beds were comfortable, showers were hot, and we had plenty of extra linens, including towels. We have stayed in many Airbnb accommodations, and this was one of the best. Thank you!

First time staying at Samson's place over the weekend with a group of friends! Immediately upon entering the gated community, I was in awe of how beautiful and peaceful it was. The community hosts a basketball court, tennis court, a large clubhouse and swimming pools, access to a beautiful creek, and more. The house itself is incredibly clean and tidy, equipped with anything you might possibly need - equipment for recreational activities, kitchen appliances/spices, towels, and much more! We especially loved the main floor, where we could gather around, and the mountain views from the patio. Samson was very communicative and sent us a detailed guide on how to check in/out, facilities within the Airbnb, and other activities to do! I would definitely recommend Samson's place! We didn't want to leave the Airbnb—it was that perfect.

A great place for families! Izabela’s cottage is clean and comfortable. Lots of thing to do in the area and a beautiful pool to enjoy!

This is a beautiful retreat set high above the ocean with absolutely stunning views including Mt. Baker. We were able to see whales swimming below us while relaxing on the swinging seat in front of our home. We were thankful for Linda’s detailed driving instructions which made what might have been a confusing drive quire straight forward. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and equipped to be right at home. We enjoyed drinking coffee and eating our breakfast in the chairs in front of the cottage in the morning sun with a great view. Arrival and leaving were all easy and Linda communicated extremely well. It was easy to get to locations on both sides of the island where we enjoyed hiking and mountain biking. Eastsound is very close so we generally ate evening meals there at local restaurants. I would highly recommend this beautiful location.

Connie's cabin is just as described. We were delighted (almost honored) to stay there because it is obvious it has been a well-loved family place. It was perfect for 4 adults and in a great location with gorgeous views. Connie is a very responsive and kind host.

CaraMia's beach cottage in Camano far exceeded our expectations. It was fantastic. Set on a couple of well-landscaped acres in an idyllic, peaceful, semi-rural area, it's a cozy beach-style cottage overlooking Port Susan on Camano Island. The views are great. It was easy to walk around the vicinity where there are even a few stables with horses and an alpaca or two. Yet the cottage is close to stores and restaurants a few miles in either direction. We brought our dog and spent the time walking, hiking, beachcombing and cycling around Camano Island while enjoying good food at nearby pubs and restaurants. I would highly recommend CaraMia's Camano Cottage! We'll definitely be back to visit in the future.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Jennifer's quaint, characterful, cozy cottage. The location, property, and home were charming, with lovely, mature landscaping, fields of grass, water view framed by trees, and a private little beach. The antique furniture, lace curtains, and multiple vases of fresh-picked flowers and greenery all added romantic touches. The master bed was very comfortable and Jennifer kindly customized the bedding to accommodate our feather allergy. Although the property is a compound with other cottages, the setting was extremely private both indoors and out, on account of the large lot, separate access, and screening of mature trees. The wi-fi was weak, so perhaps not the ideal location for working, but perfect for a romantic getaway!

This place was absolutely worth every penny we paid! It was very clean, cute and small but had every amenity you would want. The VIEW of the water was beautiful.. just incredible! The scene was very peaceful. Shyni was our host and checked on us a few times during our stay to make sure we had all that we needed. She was very cordial with us. We appreciated having had conversations with her as we like to get to know our hosts. That's always a bonus for us. It is a small little place but mighty in everything else. The amenities are too numerous to note. But if you are missing something, I'm sure she has it! It is a very private place. It is also well stocked with games if you get rained in for the day. The washer/dryer unit was very handy. One thing we'd have done differently was to have put in our order for Indian food 6 weeks prior to our arrival. If you would like some Indian food (I read awesome reviews and forgot) order ahead! Enjoy the place! We did!

My fiancé and I wanted to get away for the weekend and we loved this place. It was very clean, had a large fenced yard for the dogs to run around in, and we were even given fresh eggs from their chickens. We would definitely rebook in the future!

This place was AMAAAAAAAAZING! Gorgeous, cute cottage. Beautiful.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend as well would stay again. Everything was as described and the Host was fantastic.

My husband and I came to the PNW for our 20th wedding anniversary. This little cottage was perfect. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The kitchen was well stocked with all the spices and kitchenware you need to make a meal. The beds were very comfortable. Jane's communication and dinner recommendations were top-notch. I suggest Callens for breakfast and Front Street Grill for dinner/lunch. The best part, sitting on the driftwood at the beach in the mornings, drinking my morning coffee, watching seals and porpoises a stone's throw away. Don't let the fact that the Navy practices touch-and-goes nearby. They practiced 2x in the 4 days we were there. It was no big deal and pretty cool to see the jets. Neither time was for more than 45 minutes. I'm already looking forward to coming back next year.

I stayed here for over a month and I still wasn't ready to leave. I will miss waking up each morning to look out at the ocean where I saw wales, bald eagles and beautiful sunsets. This is a truly magical location and the house was clean and provided all the necessities for an amazing stay. I hope to make it back soon.

Bloody loved it! Amenities and location were fantastic. We had a relaxing weekend hiking, rafting, sauna’ing and enjoying the space right on the river. Would highly recommend.

We had an incredible stay at Bayside Cottage! The house is very charming and has everything that you need. We loved the porch overlooking the bay and the short easy walk down to the bay. We hope to return soon!

Teri’s cabin is perfect! She has gone to tremendous length to ensure every small detail for your stay will be perfect. From the heated bathroom floors, to the perfectly weighted comforters, to the beautifully stacked and dried firewood, your enjoyable stay is her priority. The cabin is maintain in pristine condition and loving details are in every space. Amazingly, she does this while also ensuring the space is void of any clutter. While I was there with my sister and nephew, I feel this space is suited for lovers seeking a special space to connect and enjoy nature. The meadow is beautiful at dusk and dawn and I strongly recommend an evening fire. Eastsound is a short drive where great local shops, wine tasting and restaurants are available. Orcas Island has beautiful hikes, parks, and walking trails available for your enjoyment. I cannot recommend Teri’s cabin enough. Thank you for a perfect adventure.

I am so happy we booked this place. The beautiful surroundings that greeted us every morning took our breath away.
