Family-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Travis

We really enjoyed our stay! The home was clean, spacious, and perfect for our large group. It’s close to lots of attractions, which made getting around super easy. We loved the extra amenities — the cute little putt putt corner, pool, and outdoor dining area were huge highlights. The beautiful trees in the yard added such a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again!

Michael is indeed a super host. Communication was always clear and consistent. He responded very quick to my texts, questions and gave very good recommendations of things to do or places to go in the area. House is beautiful and Michael is doing a great job updating the decor. Views are amazing and the pool was clean a a very good size, we were a family of grown ups and we had a blast playing Marco Polo. What it stand up to me were the beddings, sheets and comforter covers were so smooth, clean and felt wonderful, definitely that was a plus to get a restful night sleep after a day full of activities. We stayed 3 nights and it felt very short. Two deers came for a visit to the area where the pit is located, it was a joyful sight. Thank you Michael for accommodating so well our needs.

The house was perfect in every way. We stayed there with my elderly parents and everyone loved the beds, bathrooms and the backyard. The hosts very friendly and accommodating. We would love to stay there again!! We had a small gathering after my nephews college graduation and the home was perfect for everyone.

Great house & outdoor space in a lovely neighborhood, very quiet, comfortable and well decorated. One of the best airbnbs I’ve stayed in when visiting Austin. Highly recommend.

The place was amazing! Had 9 adults and it was very comfortable. The pool is perfect! Scott was awesome and made sure we had what we needed. Will definitely stay again if we ever make it back to dripping springs.

We had a great time at this lake house! We had the whole family (4 adults and 3 small children). The accommodations were great. The kids were able to swim from the dock and we were able to park our tritoon without any issues. We took full advantage of the grill, hot tub, and sauna. We highly recommend if you are looking for a lake getaway.

The place was amazingly cozy, comfortable, clean, and spacious. I really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. Wifi worked well too. Michelle has two dogs that were very friendly with my family (including our dog), so our dog also had a great time. Also the location was really good - easy access to coffee shops and restaurants by walking or short driving as well as to the University of Texas by 10 minutes or so of driving. Would definitely consider this Airbnb again when visiting UT area again in the future.

Such a perfect stay! We stayed here for a weekend getaway and the accomodations and location were amazing. Even though we were just 2 adults, it seemed great for families traveling with children as well.

This is a wonderful ranch like get a way and it was just what we were looking to find. We are so tired of motels/hotels, crowded towns and streets. It is nice to just get out away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country. Birds, a deer, a turkey, and some wildflowers thrown in just added to the enjoyment . Resting on the patios in the evening looking at a dark sky full of stars was very relaxing. It is hard to describe the tranquility of the evenings we spent. It was an unexpected treat. So many sites close by to visit and see if you are inclined to do so. It was also nice that we were out away from it all and yet within a short distance of food, groceries and other amenities. Janet is the hostess with the Mostess. She was on top of everything! Super communications, super accommodations, and friends advice to help make our stay so enjoyable. OH, and sweet treats on our arrival that were very special! Thank you Janet!

Great place to stay! The host was very responsive and accommodating. The house was clean, spacious, and had all the kitchen supplies needed for a full weekend. Also, the location is amazing and the views are incredible! Highly recommend staying here.

We had a great stay and will definitely book again on our next trip to Austin! The home was so peaceful with outstanding hill country views while still close to all the fun things Austin has to offer.

Our family of 10 enjoyed this Lake House home. It is perfect for families. It was spacious, clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was a nice separation of bedrooms on the upper level for the adults allowing our teenage kids to have the lower level bedrooms, but there were also bedrooms laid out to accommodate parents and children of younger ages on the lower level. We especially enjoyed the game room with table tennis, foosball and darts. The home has a flat, grassy back yard and we were easily able to set up a volleyball net and play soccer. The friendly deer emerged in the evenings and mornings and were a delight. The owner, Matt, was a very responsive host and answered our questions promptly. We were prepared for lower lake levels given the drought at Lake Travis, so note that the hike down to the water and the dock is steep and rocky given the current conditions.

This was our second time staying with Jim and Deb. They are wonderful hosts and their place is beautiful.

Vesper Lodge is a lovely home! The decor of the home and styling of the bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen are on point. I appreciate attention to details which result in at home comfort like hand soap, room spray, diffuser, sound machines, fans, copious amount of kitchen tools, and a plethora of blankets. We are looking forward to visiting sometime during the winter so we can better enjoy the fire pit, back patio, and the fireplace. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely space with us!

Amazing clean bright modern home with large beautiful backyard. Place had everything you need and more. Convenient location right by grocery store and many restaurants. Quiet neighborhood not too far from many Austin attractions. Host was very friendly and easy to communicate with.

Highly recommend this home for any Austin adventurer! It's in a nice quiet neighborhood and super close to most Austin area activities. The home itself is super well thought-out and has essentially any amenity you'd need, all with lots of style, a comfy couch, and nice beds. Can't recommend this spot enough!

we felt like it was an absolute honor to stay in this artistic tribute to all things wonderful - whether a picture of a giraffe peering in the window to see what you are cooking, or a small plastic pig figurine looking down from above the shower. What an experience and we suspect each item displayed has a rich story that could go along with it. The artful displays provide a rich coziness to the experience in this large home. The owner keeps the place spotless and supplied with anything you might need. She is a super communicator and readily available to assist in any way. This is a place you do not want to miss - it is as unique as they come and very comfortable!

Such a great place to stay! My husband and I enjoyed a quick weekend getaway and loved the quiet location with lots to do and beautiful scenery. It was perfect for the two of us, but would have been equally perfect for our whole family. Kids were a little jealous when they saw the pictures. Highly recommend for friends, couples, or families!

Steven's place is perfect. Honestly, the pictures don't do it justice. The house is tucked away on a quiet tree-lined street, and you feel like you're in your own private sanctuary. And yet, it's only a few minutes walk to some great restaurants and coffee shops. The house itself is spacious, well-designed, and stocked with high-quality products and amenities. My friends and I are cold plunge converts after our stay here! If you're on the fence about this rental, don't be, just book it!

We had such an amazing stay and is truly a great find! Not only did they have such fun features and amenities they also had lots of extras that helped make this trip memorable. Would 100% rebooked here for our next trip to Austin!

super nice host! we spent time at the house over memorial weekend and was a group of 10 of us big house had plenty of room for everybody and plenty of towels for the pool pool was super big they even had a grill out there we had an amazing time at this house I'll definitely would love to book again and I suggest you as well for every penny thank you to The Host

I cannot say enough good things about this place! The space, location, amenities, and thoughtfulness of the host were all wonderful! The forethought put into each of the items available in the cabin was truly impressive. Any thing we needed throughout the stay was already there - including grilling equipment, a first aid kit stocked with items specific to needs that might arise being out in the country like that, and a very sweet movie night bowl! The host proactively messaged us with all the instructions needed, which made for an extremely stress-free arrival and complete privacy for the duration of the stay. The beds were comfortable, the shower was relaxing, and there is really nothing that compares to watching a thunderstorm through the window of the loft. I highly, highly recommend checking this place out!

What a wonderful host and place to stay. This house is located right at the heart of downtown Buda and is a short walk to all the fun stuff to do around town. Not only that, the hosts are amazing and go above and beyond your typical host. For example, I lost an AirTag during my stay and within an hour of me leaving, they already had the AirTag in the mail. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Buda!
