Lake side house rentals in Lake Orion

Terry is very helpful, responsive, caring, and proactive. I enjoyed his place a lot and will recommend for any out of town guests. It’s very cozy, clean, and well-decorated. It was a perfect place for me to stay; close to the lake, restaurants, and shopping. Thank you for everything!

Lisa was a wonderful host and even met us at the door when we arrived to make sure that we were settled in okay and knew how everything worked. She checked in throughout the stay just to make sure everything was okay which I appreciated. I would gladly stay here again as it was the perfect location for when we come to visit Lapeer. The place was very clean and lovely and the appliances were easy to use. Thanks again Lisa!

We enjoyed our family time together sitting around the firepit, kayaking, and playing games around the dining room table. This is a great spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors, and on the chilly days we even enjoyed sitting next to the fire indoors. When one of the showers wasn't working properly Tim came to fix it within a few hours of us letting him know. Our family from the UAE and South Africa enjoyed the cottage experience.

My family and I planned a very last minute trip to the Rochester Hills area due to the passing of my mother in law. My husband is from the area, so he asked me to search in Lake Oreon. I’m so happy we selected this little cottage, as it was seriously so peaceful and comfortable! It was spotless, (which is so difficult to find when searching for a rental) and we never felt the need to wash things down before we used them. Beds were cozy, clean and crisp! Ryan and his family were gracious and allowed us to have a few family members over following the service, which was so appreciated. I absolutely recommend staying in this home! One of the better homes we have stayed in.

This was the second time staying at Fran's place and we had a great stay. Fran's cottage is super cozy and well-appointed, with everything you need for cooking, whether you are preparing a simple meal or having a big BBQ. The couch is comfy and the beds are too. Since the front room window of Fran's cottage has an up close view of a small, uninhabited woody island, we didn't have to go very far for morning birdwatching! The cottage is in a small, quiet neighborhood and it feels very calm and far away from busy city life. However it's not a long drive to Detroit or other big cities/towns. We had some amazing canoe and kayak paddles on the lake and enjoyed seeing all the wildlife. The cottage is right on the water, so launching was simple. We especially appreciated that Fran took the extra time to leave nice snacks and coffee, much appreciated after a long trip.

The home and location were absolutely perfect! Everything was exactly as listed and was so beautiful and homey. I just wish the weather had been a bit warmer to fully enjoy the outdoor seating and activities. I highly recommend and hope to visit again. Thanks so much!

We have rented condo/houses from Hayward WI, Keys, Belize, and so many more in-between. This has to be the most thoughtful homeowners we have ever met! They had everything you will need times 100! The toy shed is filled with outdoor things, the deck with all the seating was awesome, and the boat dock to catch your bluegill all day long was a hit for the kids and me too! I would recommend this place time and time again. They even were able to accommodate my early check in. Do not let this place pass you by! It is worth every cent!!!

We used this space for our wedding weekend and it worked perfectly as a place for the wedding party to stay in the days before and then to get ready the day of! There was plenty of room for everyone and the views of the lake were beautiful!

We were in town for our son's wedding and we wanted a place that was comfortable, close to everywhere we needed to go, and where we could host small family gatherings in town for the wedding. This was the perfect place. It's a beautiful location, quiet and when the weather was nice and we had down time, we enjoyed the lake. Tyler our host was not only responsive, but proactive in reaching out to us to make sure that our stay at the Black Marlin was as comfortable as possible. He helped make our stay stress free, so we could focus on the wedding. I can't recommend this property and this host enough!

This is a beautiful cottage. The enclosed porch is perched right at the lake. You can even see the lake from the kitchen window. Lyn has provided every detail for guest comfort and convenience, from luggage racks to a side table in the bedroom. Very nice bathroom with thick towels. A plate of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies on the island counter was a lovely welcome!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Absolutely gorgeous views with tons of privacy! Very well appointed house. Appreciated the sound machines in each room. The outside spaces were awesome. And a nice little fishing spot to boot. On top of all that, the gracious hosts were very friendly and responsive, and also offered suggestions for local activities. Overall, just a great experience!

This is a very cute home. It has all the right updated modern finishing touches. The bathroom is amazing and had the best fixtures and water pressure. My son was able to take the kayak out. The hot tub was relaxing. Rachel was very helpful and even willing to ship back a few things we left behind as 5 of us had a 14 hour trip home and had to get ready and check out very early.

Wonderful to stay on an Island with my husband peaceful and relaxing! it wasn't too difficult to get off when we went grocery shopping or forgot something in the car and the paddle boat was easy to use. Nicole was super helpful and responsive! would 10/10 recommend!

The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and full of personality. It felt secluded and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway before the big day. The setting was picturesque, and the overall vibe made for some unforgettable memories. Everything was absolutely perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Great place to stay while we visited family nearby! Had enough bedrooms and even an air mattress. Bathrooms were very large with walk in showers! Very responsive and friendly host.

Great location to visit family in Ortonville & Oxford. Super clean and Heidi was very quick and responsive to all my questions. House is located in the middle of everything we needed from coffee to dinner & shopping. We have a large dog and the park nearby made it nice for a small walk and playtime. Our family gives it a 5 star and Highly recommend!!!

Great host great town had a plate of cookies waiting for our arrival came out personally greeted us made sure we got in and knew how to use the camper even tho we didnt arrive until 11pm i will definitely be booking with him again!!
